  1. HE scored the goals but wants no part of any glory. Kenny Miller would be entitled to enjoy a Rangers' SPL title win as much as any Ibrox star. As he watches his former team-mates try to seal the championship from 2,000 miles away in Turkey, the Scotland striker has revealed that he virtually feels like an outsider looking in. Miller netted an incredible 22 goals in the first half of the season to send Walter Smith's side on their way. He's still the top flight's top scorer and will have more than earned his winner's medal if Gers clinch the league at Rugby Park tomorrow. Miller revealed: "Seeing the boys win the league would be absolutely phenomenal. I'd be thrilled for every single one of them because they'd totally deserve it. "I know I'd maybe be entitled to a medal because I played the required number of games. "For me it wouldn't feel the same as last season's title win. "I'm just being honest, I know I played a part but it's about the boys who are at the club now. "I scored goals in the first half of the season, sure, but it's winning games now that counts. This is the stage of the season when the pressure is really on. "If you lose your fifth or sixth game in the season you've got time to claw it back. "It's different in April and May - that's when it's vital. "That's why it's a strange feeling for me. I know I played a part and I'm proud of it - but I don't feel part of the squad." Rangers could clinch the championship on Helicopter Sunday as Celtic host Motherwell on the last day of SPL action. Miller insists he has NEVER doubted that his former team-mates could prove too strong for Neil Lennon's side. Delighted Miller added: "When I left in January I said that the boys would see it out and I still firmly believe that. "We're talking about a group of players who refuse to give in. "I've been in some great dressing rooms but nothing compares to what the lads have at Murray Park. It's just the best. "I had the most enjoyable two and a half years of my career there, that's for sure. "It obviously helps when you're winning leagues and cups. That makes it a whole lot easier. "The lads know what it takes to be successful, they stick together and refuse to give in to anyone. You can't buy that. "Thing went against us at times, especially with everything the club's been through in the last few years, but the spirit on the pitch was never in question." Miller is in no doubt why that is - the man he still calls gaffer. He added: "It's down to the manager, definitely. "The gaffer just seems to get the best out of people. "I have been in squads where players aren't playing and are unhappy because of that. "You would hear them mump and moan about the manager and that's never good for the team spirit but that never happens at Rangers. "It was the same when Walter was in charge of Scotland, he had the knack of keeping everybody happy even if you weren't one of the boys playing. "I don't know how he does it but he gets everyone pulling in the same direction and that's absolutely priceless when you're going for titles and trophies. If you could bottle what he has it would be worth a fortune. "Take it from me, it was genuinely a pleasure to go into work every day at Murray Park. "That's the way I felt about it and I know that's the way every other player at the club feels about it too. "For me it's been a massive driving force this season that the gaffer was stepping down because it means there was a group of players who are all absolutely desperate to make sure he leaves a winner." Miller has been glued to his TV in his Turkish apartment, watching Rangers as they try to clinch Three in a Row. He had seen Celtic move into pole position but Miller insists he knew there was still life in Rangers' title fight when the Hoops failed to beat them at Ibrox last month. Allan McGregor saved a late Georgios Samaras penalty, and Miller added: "For me that could turn out to be one of the key moments of the season. "You can talk about goals scored and games won but that save from Allan could be MASSIVE. "If that penalty goes in, the league's over. "Had Celtic won that game it would have been very difficult for the boys to come back. "The goalie stepped up and produced it when it counted and I just think it could be a save worth its weight in gold. "It could be such a defining moment in the season. "Celtic would probably have kicked on after that game had they got all three points." Read more: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/3580014/Bond-of-brothers.html#ixzz1MHHEjYcO
  2. You're wasting your time trying to educate these buffoons, save your breath.
  3. I think it's good to hear that Rangers will take no more shit from any mHedia.Maybe this has come from CW?,if so then it looks good for the future.

  5. One of the rare times the fan has hit the shit
  6. Agreed. The BHEASTS are far too caught up in all this bullshit to see how badly Liewell,Dr Death and TLB have spent a lot of money trying to win the title allied with the fact that this is the weakest Rangers FC are ever likely to be financially and have STILL FAILED to deliver the title. It's not our fault, everybody hates us,that's why we never won the league. We have battled the refs,SFA blah blah, but it's a conspiracy I tell ye. Well, from a good Rangers man GIRFUY,you chunts deserve nothing as you have tried to cheat, intimidate and lie your way to the title. Now away and lie in yer pish why the good people enjoy another title party. It was only last week when Liewell publicly stated that there is not a sectarian problem at C****c !!!!,what chance is there of ever solving sectarian problems when the likes of him is in denial?.
  7. The Wee Rangers club sounds a good plan, then pop over to Ibrox to watch the players celebrating:spl:,then back to the wee club:drink: :boogie:
  8. I read that earlier. They must have forgot about it for a while
  9. Peter Lawwell has given the biggest hint yet that Neil Lennon will be invited to continue managing Celtic – no matter what happens in the title run-in. The Parkhead chief executive has thrown the full weight of the club behind the beleaguered boss after a torrid few months, during which Lennon has had to work against a backdrop of parcel bombs, bullets in the post and, this week, an attack during a game. The manager’s family have also been severely affected by the events, and Lawwell believes the point has been reached where all right-minded people must unite to say “enough is enough”. The fears for Lennon’s personal safety are the main concern. But another serious worry is that the 39-year-old – who Lawwell believes has been unjustifiably “demonised” – might feel the aggravation is not worth it, and decide to walk away from the 12-month rolling contract he signed at the start of this season. Lawwell would be bitterly disappointed if that happened, and is already openly talking in terms of how the club will help Lennon beat the bigots and move on from this point. The chief executive is in daily contact with the manager and has intimate knowledge of all that he is having to endure. Lawwell made no attempt to hide his admiration for the way Lennon is handling the situation, and said: “Neil is a remarkable man, his strength of character is incredible. “He is proud to be the Celtic manager. I think he gets his energy and his strength through his job and through being part of this club and through the energy of the supporters. “He knows he is not alone. He knows he has got the backing and that gives him the strength to go forward. “I very much hope events don’t lead him to thinking otherwise but, where I’m sitting, I feel he has the strength of character to take him forward.” Lawwell is heartened that the rest of the football community is also standing firm behind Lennon. But he knows it is those working closest with the man from Lurgan who have the most important role to play at this difficult time. He said: “I don’t think the club has ever been more united behind Neil Lennon, and I think the unity and energy that gives us should spur us on. “The title’s not over yet. Hopefully we can get a bit of luck on Sunday. But, certainly, we’ll be prepared through that unity next year and in subsequent years.” Lawwell is looking beyond the borders of the club and its trophy ambitions, however, and wants everyone to mark this moment as the point when serious issues rotting the core of our society have to be addressed and challenged. “Someone has to grasp this problem because the last two or three months have been horrific for Neil and for everyone associated with the club,” said Lawwell. “Unless someone really and genuinely grasps this problem and finds a solution, then God only knows what will happen. It must stop. “We’re the only club who has been subjected to these vile and relentless attacks, and somebody has got to ask why. Why is it Celtic, and why is it no-one else, and why is it continuing? “Clearly, there are societal issues in there that people have to stand up behind. Once you identify that problem, we work together in terms of trying to get a solution. These events are beyond football.” WHAT THEY SAID... It is unbelievable really. He is just a football manager trying to do a job. Neil is controversial and sometimes goes over the top and says things, but that is just him. Ultimately, he is a football manager and should be respected for that. There’s just no place for something like that to happen in football. John Hartson, former Celtic team-mate Every right-thinking person in Scottish football will be appalled. There’s no place in Scottish football for this kind of behaviour. Rangers chief executive Martin Bain I think the important question we have to ask is: ‘Why is Neil Lennon so demonised?’ I have been involved in Scottish football for 30 years and have never known any figure to be so loathed, so demonised. Former Celtic player Andy Walker What a disgrace. I’ve never seen anything like that in my entire career. Where the hell was the security? Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley on Twitter You have to fear for Neil Lennon now. I think there is a good possibility he might quit as the incident was not a one-off. Former Celtic team-mate Paul Hartley The media should spend time displaying a show of strength for Neil because he is part of our industry, the football game. He has been unfairly targeted and there hasn’t been enough support. Kilmarnock caretaker manager Kenny Shiels What about that chap who attacked Neil Lennon? Not good for Scottish football or the game in general. Man Utd striker Michael Owen I am so sorry for Neil Lennon. It is incredible. There are many people who are crazy. Man City manager Roberto Mancini http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks/unity-under-fire-will-help-us-in-the-years-to-come-1.1101339
  10. Publicans have hit out over a police warning not to show both Old Firm games on Sunday. They have warned licensees not to screen the Rangers and Celtic title-deciding games – which both start at 12.30pm, for fear of violence. Many bars in Glasgow and across west Scotland had been planning to show both nailbiting games simultaneously to ensure regulars can keep up to date with every bit of the action. But police have urged them to reconsider this decision following the week of unrest in football, and warned that those who go ahead with may have their licence called in for review. Donald MacLeod, chairman of the Local Licensing Forum and managing director of CPL Entertainment Group, which runs many of Glasgow’s top nightclubs, said the warning forces pubs to “choose one side or another”. He said: “There are a lot of unhappy licensees who feel they are being threatened with their livelihoods. “Our concern is that this is now forcing licensees to choose one side or another. This would leave the neutral fan with nowhere to go to watch and enjoy the matches.” Rangers are to play Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and Celtic will play Motherwell at home. The SPL is so close – with only one point separating the two sides – that a helicopter is on standby to take the trophy to the winners. An e-mail sent out to pub owners in A-Division states: “I don’t need to tell you of potential for serious disorder on the day and this could be magnified by having opposing supporters within your premises for the purpose of watching the games. “You should be aware that any incident that occurs within, or directly outside, your premises will be reviewed by the licensing department and appropriate action taken in relation to the licensing legislation. This may include a premises review to the licensing board.” Glasgow-based licensee Mitch Sorbie said: “I don’t think the police should be giving out this warning.” http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/editor-s-picks/don-t-make-us-pick-sides-on-old-firm-tv-1.1101353
  11. Where is everybody watching the game and what are your title winning celebrations you have planned? Myself and Frankie, possibly Johnnyk, and mad Hastie will be heading to our wee local Rangers pub to have a fantastic title winning party. :spl::cheers:
  12. LIVERPOOL are heading the chase for Motherwell winger Chris Humphrey. Chris Humphrey has caught the eye of a host of sides south of the border after a string of dazzling displays for the Scottish Cup finalists. Now Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is considering a shock summer move for the lightning fast wideman. Dalglish is scouring the market for wingers to supply his Ã?£35m striker Andy Carroll. Anfield chief Dalglish has been linked with big-money moves for Aston Villa pair Ashley Young and Stewart Downing but is weighing up Humphrey as a cheaper option. Liverpool are expected to run the rule over him again at the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic at Hampden a week tomorrow – but they won’t be the only ones. Bitter rivals Everton, who were keen on Humphrey when he left Shrewsbury in 2009, will again check out the Ã?£1m-rated starlet whose contract runs out next summer. Bolton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Swansea and Rangers are also interested and due to assess Humphrey, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/190736/Liverpool-will-get-the-Humph/
  13. Are you really asking that question?
  14. Aye,I'm just thinking about future signings as well, can we afford to raise the wage structure,as it stands we can lose out on potential signings. As for AM he deserves a wage rise if it will keep him at the club and he has earned that IMO.

  17. This is the problem, everything is bigoted according to the mHedia!!!!!
  18. Agreed. However, the current wage structure is/was in place due to our financial restraints,I'm merely asking if that wage structure would/could rise but still working within our means?.
  19. Somebody on FF has it downloaded and saved
  20. These stewards don't deserve that, innocent people just trying to earn a few extra pounds, they probably don't even follow football. I agree BD this is far worse than what happened to TLB and should be sent to the mHedia,SFA & SPL. Anybody got email addys for this to be sent to?.
  21. No problem mate. I don't know how to do that anyway:redface:
  22. I don't think you're being cynical mate,that's exactly what he's doing,CREEP
  23. A MUM of two was bombarded with sick phone threats after her number was put online by idiots who claimed it was Wilson's. Jackie Wilson's dad and brother are both called John but she has never heard of the Tynecastle accused. The sick callers made death threats and told Jackie they would rape her family. Jackie said: "The calls were constant. I'm worried about my kids." But as well as the threats, Jackie, 35, took a large number of calls from mindless bigots who wanted to THANK Wilson for his attack on Lennon. She said: "The calls were from people with west of Scotland accents. "They were saying good on him. They wanted a wee chat with him because he was a legend." 24. NIKICA JELAVIC last night revealed Man United want him for £13million. The Rangers striker's goals have helped push the Ibrox side to the brink of their third straight SPL title but Jelavic has thrown a spanner in the works by confirming reports in Croatia's media about interest in him by United. But the former Rapid Vienna frontman swears he is thinking only about winning his first league medal with Rangers. Jelavic said: "I know United are interested. My agent has established contact with them but that's all I know. "My agent has mentioned a figure of £13million and I came to Rangers for £4m so it would be a big gain for the club. "However, I would only think of a transfer in the summer. I'm fine here and enjoying every moment. "The Rangers fans give me goosebumps - they really love me and I am looking forward to the Kilmarnock game on Sunday. "If we win, it will be the first title I have won where I have been one of the key figures. I would call it my first real title." Jelavic has been a revelation since recovering from injury in January, hitting 18 goals for Walter Smith's side. A move to United, England's champions in waiting, would seem unlikely given the enormous firepower of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov. But reports in Croatia have indicated Jelavic could replace Berbatov, the Bulgarian having lost his first-team spot. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2011/05/13/rangers-hitman-nikica-jalevic-manchester-united-want-to-sign-me-for-s13m-86908-23127141/
