The Sunderland fans on the whole seem happy with the prospect. They see him as a young manager on an upward trajectory with the one bad season he had at Bristol dismissed as not his fault. Seems that after a season at Bristol in which he had just saved them from what looked like certain relegation the board then sold his best players out from under him in the close season. Then fired him when the inevitable bad results began to stack up.

Which is exactly why I think he will be off if that's all there is left to stop it.

It definitely looks as if he will be off to Sunderland which will throw the sheep into even more disarray. Never mind. Can always try to land another Caley Thistle player to offset the disruption. Hell might get their whole team for that million.

There seems to be a real determination to land him.

And presumably we're trusting his judgment on this one though in saying that others aside from him must have had a look after he raised the boys name. A feather in the cap of JJ if this boy turns into a goal machine and a major sell on asset.

Similar population size, maybe the major difference being that they don't have any giants like Rangers. But that's not to say that they can't unearth some real gems. Anybody can.

We're going to have very little time to be bored. I expect we may get news of deals being finalised etc over the next week but the Europa league draw is in just 6 days time then the real fretting will begin. Not that it really matters but the sheep mob are scoffing and predicting we will be lucky to make the third qualifying round presumably because that's actually their level and of course they're much better than us. Right? Aside from the crucial financial aspects I would love us to get to that group stage just to rub their own ungulate droppings in their bleating faces.

There must be some sort of role for Miller given that he got a contract when they could simply have let him go. Might be given a string of substitute appearances for the last half hour or so when he is fresh and opposition legs are tiring.

Well, there were some of us who were saying just weeks ago that we would never challenge next season because the entire team would have to be overhauled. So here it is, a complete overhaul to the extent that we can't even guess a first XI Best we could do is start from the back and pick the certainties. Foderingham, Alves, Cardoso. Beyond that isn't so easy.

They're proclaiming they will be minimum second and we will struggle to get anywhere near them. It's obviously total fantasy and I can even see the exuberant crew outmatching them. They will struggle to be top 4 far less top 2. We beat them twice last season and totally outplayed them in the one we lost at their dump and this new squad is far more powerful while theirs is falling apart. I like it, the bleating will be all the more satisfying when their fantasy bubble bursts.

Loving how the likes of the sheep support scoff at our signings, they're all crap, £10 million of crap. And that includes Ryan Jack, total crap which makes it all the more baffling he was a first choice for them and their captain. But when they get an Englishman I never heard of on a Bosman from the relegated Caley Thistle it's a great signing.

I think someone who has a scoring record like that would be a first pick for the starting 11 at Rangers at least initially till he proved he was going to continue in that vein. How many of the Man Uniteds etc would he be an automatic first pick with? HJK are like the sheep, they hit the Europa league third qualifying round and go out. He still has to prove himself at a level beyond that before the Euro giants may show real interest and before he could be an automatic first pick. The boy is 20. He has plenty of time to make the really big money and a couple of years with us could be the ideal platform for him to move on to the big money at 22. He will get plenty of exposure in England if he were to come to us.

Even Championship clubs in England can and do sell cheap season tickets to get bigger crowds. That is in fact what Huddersfield did and hit the jackpot.

And how many clubs in England could offer him a chance at the CL and a guaranteed first team spot? I'm fairly confident if Pedro were trying to convince him to come to Rangers he would be telling him we have an excellent chance of CL football next season regardless of different views on that possibility. There are only a handful who can offer him any type of Euro football at all be it CL or Europa league.

We have a lot to offer. I presume he would get more money than in Finland and would be in a high profile side on the doorstep of the promised land across the border and preparing to play in Europe. I suspect even just the stadium may impress him. HJK stadium capacity 10,770
