Wonder if this might mean more money being splashed during the window. -

Knowing the hatred of the fans for Ashley 12 months from now the board would need to get a spectacular deal from him far and above anything else on offer to continue any ties with him. I mean this guy didn't just rip us off he tried to have our chairman put in jail. But in the meantime it's progress otherwise they wouldn't have negotiated it. -

Disturbing amount of simulation to get fouls coming from both sides in just the first 15 minutes of this match. Since the authorities are forever trying to tinker I would rather they went to extremes to stamp this out before considering anything else. It's easy for me to see in the replays so would be easy for the authorities to see post match then dish out a significant fine and a minimum 2 match ban. That would quickly start weeding it out.

I want to know if this one year deal entirely scraps the previous 7 year deal then at the end of this year long deal are we back to square one as far as negotiating a new deal goes. -

The entire cluster fuck makes the poison fat man look like someone anyone else would have to think twice about having any dealings with. He's been stepping outside standard business mentality to reveal himself as a litigious troll bringing personal grudges into it. Not good PR. -
Alves looks like the tallest player in the Portugal team, maybe tallest on the pitch. I'm hoping Portugal get beaten though not due to Alves. Want him out of this and where he should be right now, at Ibrox. Russian anthem is a great little tune.

This is the type of thing I have a proxy program for. Can't watch ITV from outside the UK without one or at least you couldn't the last time I tried it. https://www.itv.com/hub/itv4

Does this remind anyone of any player playing in green and white?

The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

They can have Kiernan for the remainder of the Garner debt. -
I'm doubting our first match will be at hubz because that may be a powder keg due to it being their first season back and further for some bizarre reason they appear to hold grudges against us because they invaded the Hampden pitch committing vandalism and assault in the cup final last year. Thus if we beat them in their own pen in this their first match back we may see them again demonstrate a mob mentality on the opening day. If I can figure that out you have to imagine those compiling these fixtures can figure it out too and go in another direction. We have been disappointed before but this time out we may be entitled to a certain degree of confidence when taking last season into account. For example the sheep were labeled as having a good season and us a very poor season when in reality we outplayed them three times out of four. In the fourth and final encounter when they indisputably outplayed us we were looking at a team that knew it was about to be dismantled and probably had little more in mind than the next contract. And while the sheep finished 9 points above us in what was called a good season for them that could have been just 3 points if this about to be dismantled team hadn't downed tools and had their minds elsewhere. Plus part of their claim to a good season was reaching two cup finals neither of which they won and which the chances are we would have been in if we hadn't pulled the eventual winners in both semis. We all agreed we had a misfiring team the entire season yet when it boils down to it the sheep and their great season were really just barely ahead of us and could have been behind us in the league if not for our inability to finish off teams we totally dominated. And all that with a badly misfiring team. And now let's look at the season ahead, do we think this is a far stronger team than last season? I do which given the facts I just went over you have to then think that we can be capable of consistently getting the required results to be up there challenging. And incidentally the unmentionables are overdue a defeat or two. It has to happen and all the better if it happens before we meet them and then we beat them too. We have far more reason to be confident this season than we did last.

Aside from maybe Miller we had no one last season who could do what Pena appears capable of. He seems to have the talent of getting great power into a shot with what looks like little more than a flick or tap. Definite step up in class. -
Yes, which means if we can hit the ground running taking all points before they come and then beat them we can make an early statement of intent. And burst their bubble of confidence in the process.

Been so spoiled by so much early activity that a day with little or no activity is a let down. Need to get the competitive matches up and running. Downside is that I will be at work next Thursday night when the first match is being played. It will be early afternoon here and in fact that will be typical of most or even all of the Euro matches for me. -

Charlton reportedly scouting Forrester. From 50K crowds and Europa league to league 1. It would appear he really blew his chance at the big time. -
Totally agree, these games are meaningless aside from fitness building. Were these same people now having palpitations thinking we're Barcelona after beating Coleraine 5-0? I didn't say a single thing about that result all I commented on was who was playing and I believe every last one of us who commented did exactly the same thing. Not a single remark about the result because we all know it's meaningless.

Nobody complains here when it rains though having lived in Scotland bitching about rain most of my life the Oklahomans would soon change their tune if it was falling on them all year round. As I previously mentioned during my first 12 months in Oklahoma I would estimate I saw a total of around 7 to 10 days which had any rain at all. I read somewhere that it's rare for 7 to 10 days to pass in Scotland with no rain. When you get over 50 consecutive days with temperatures over 100 Fahrenheit coupled very high humidity you start wishing for rain. Or at least I do.

Where I am it would be impossible or expensive when it is possible. There are water restrictions almost every year which limit the ability to water/sprinkle gardens. And even if there weren't it's so hot and dry it would likely cost hundreds of dollars a month to stop it turning to dust. My first year in Oklahoma I saw something like 7 to 10 days of rain in total and by days I mean a day when rain might have fallen for 10 minutes and just disappears in the hear before ever getting the chance to soak in.

Let's hope Portugal go out at the group stage so we get Alves at Ibrox as soon as possible. And luckily there is a real possibility they may go out at the expense of Russia and Mexico.

Football reforms: Scrapping 45-minute half to be debated at Ifab
JFK-1 replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Go down this path of 30 minute halves constantly stopping and starting the clock and you're going to end up in an American scenario somewhere down the line. They will be having commercial break every time the ball runs out of play. And what's the bloody point even if there is only 60 minutes of actual play. You're still going to be in exactly the same place taking 90 minutes or more to play it out. -
Wild guess, he will stay there but he's angling to get them to pay this tax bill.
