The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

Me too. He's watching the game from the back seeing everything that's going on. Seeing who needs a kick up the backside to get them focused. -

Best case scenario is that this embarrassment serves as a kick in the posterior to get them into urgent mode from the start of a game not the last 10 minutes. Because the fact is good results and almost as importantly good performances are essential to get over this disaster and get this show back on the road. -
The Rangers Tax Case decided - who were the real villains?

The very first person I saw use the term cheating and suggest titles should be stripped was Lennon then it grew apace from there. I don't think he was even being entirely serious at the time he just wanted to take a swipe so opened the orifice and let the shit flow. Then those even dumber than he is took up the cry. And even Lennon saw the stupidity of putting us at the bottom of the pile and though he wasn't exactly vociferously speaking against it he did hint that it wasn't a good idea. -

What also irritated me was the urgency shown in the final ten minutes when they actually began to look as if they might get something. That same urgency should have been on display from the opening minute. -
No quality, no bottle, no Progrès - Should the manager be sacked?
JFK-1 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Fickle isn't strong enough a word to describe many fans. If the team were to go on an an opening league run similar to that Warburton had in his Championship campaign the magic hat would soon be back out and on the head of Pedro. -
I thought they were more concerned with old Ireland and even old Palestine than old Scotland. Ever seen their crowd carrying Scottish flags? I haven't but I have seen numerous Irish flags and Palestinian flags too.

The Board of the Scottish FA notes the judgment of the Supreme Court and wishes to clarify the implications of this final legal decision from a football regulatory perspective. In light of the Inner House of the Court of Session decision, the Board of the Scottish FA sought external senior counsel opinion to ensure a robust and independent consideration of all implications of today’s judgment. The Board received written advice from Senior Counsel, amplified when the QC attended a full meeting of the Board to discuss his conclusions. Specifically, Senior Counsel was asked to anticipate whether a determination in favour of HMRC, as announced today, could imply that there had been a breach of the Scottish FA’s Disciplinary Rules as they applied at the time of the EBT payments. The clear opinion of Senior Counsel is that there is a very limited chance of the Scottish FA succeeding in relation to any complaint regarding this matter and that, even if successful, any sanctions available to a Judicial Panel would also be limited in their scope. Accordingly, having had time to consider the opinion from Senior Counsel, and having examined the judgment of the UK Supreme Court, the Board has determined that no further disciplinary action should be taken by the Scottish FA at this time. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsID=17055&newsCategoryID=1

Became turgid after the first 20 to 25 minutes. Surely the second half will be different. Are they just going to pack the box the entire game? Happy to go out 1-0?
-
They're not in it. Need a goal and they will totally fall apart.
-
I want him to let them know he's no soft touch but don't put your head in there for crying out loud.
-
I hope he doesn't make a habit of acting like his leg has been ripped off. Had me concerned in the opening seconds.
-
Aw FFS. Unbelievable.
-
Maybe i'm just imagining it but I felt it was better quality than usual and no stuttering so far though that might change during the actual game.
-
Me too, i'm wearing it right now after it was just delivered on Saturday.

The ideal scenario in this one is for us to get an early goal leaving them needing at least 3 to win it at which stage they may as well abandon their fortifications and at least try to get a goal. It would then open up and we may get in with a handful. Good morale booster for next week.

What makes it all the more absurd is it's them not us attaching sectarianism to a colour when the reality is a large percentage of our first 11 will be Catholic as our manager likely is too. Consider Arsenal declining to have any touches of Chelsea blue and no one would give it a second thought. These are people who support and chant in favour of multiple sectarian terror groups in different parts of the world aside from the British isles then get bent out of shape about the colour of boots? The absurdity knows no bounds. Presumably the Scottish flag is also sectarian till it gets a green rather than a blue background.
-
These clowns are too stupid to grasp their own stupidity as they flail around obsessing on Rangers while desperately trying to pull reasons to attack us out of thin air. This utter nonsense all on it's own puts their own indisputable sectarianism out there for all to see and they don't even get that. This 'lady' instead of fretting over a football team might have started by writing to the legislature of the United States to ask them why the very first words of the preamble to their constitution is so sectarian. It begins "we the people"

I felt I saw something in him too. Looked like he may have a fantastic touch when he gets settled in. Looked as if he had the ability to execute a fast spin and burst of pace that could take him away from anybody and he's not the only incomer who may have that. Candeias also looked as if he could leave even O'Halloran standing and if we can get these two gelling that alone could add another dimension to our attacking play this season. Ally that with the ability of Kranjcar to pick out a man up front in space from our own half and you have to think many sides will be dreading playing us as the team gets into a rhythm only familiarity can bring. Throw in Alves organising at the back and it's a whole different outlook from last year. And no disrespect to Clint Hill who did a great job for us last season but Alves is on another level.

I think any club would be sanctioned by UEFA for what happened at Ibrox in fact I know they would and it doesn't matter what's thrown. At the end of the day if you turn a blind eye to anything at all being thrown such as paper who knows when dangerous objects will come either with the paper or wrapped inside it. It absolutely has to be a no tolerance policy regarding the throwing of objects. And to illustrate the fact that anybody will be sanctioned an incident from the champions league back in March this year.

There will be a meltdown of epic proportions all across the entire spectrum of these nuts if we take the title this season. Some criminal conspiracy must be invented to explain it. Even just a close title race where we beat them a couple of times but they just edged it would have them screaming in frustration casting around for the hidden bogey men. -
Rangers v Progrès Niederkorn - Failure is not an option
JFK-1 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I will see this game because it's on the 4th of July which is a national holiday here and i'm not concerned about the end result being anything other than moving on to the next round. I feel this team will improve from game to game so since the opposition don't really have anything to offer this match might even be the walkover we all expected at Ibrox. Qualification for the group stage is obviously a major objective but even if that all fell to pieces for us the silver lining will be that we will be well prepared for the opening day of the league season. I understand there will always be doubters and understand why they have doubts. All the pieces are falling into place and the squad likely isn't even completed yet but once this team starts clicking only one will be able to face us this season on anything like a level playing field. And yes Craig, that's a prediction. Even if we only got second place this season we will be well clear of third and much closer to first. I'm looking for a total humiliation of the hubz in the first home league game on August 12th. -

Or another way to look at it is worth what the parent club will let them go for. And we would be foolish to let him go for 750K unless I suppose the most likely alternative scenario is he signs a pre contract in January and goes for free. -

So McKay is worth 750K but Walker a million and Motherwell just put a million price tag on one of theirs. We have the cheapest team in the league. -

Pedro really ranted at the time in a manner I didn't expect of him. Makes you wonder what was said later in the dressing room because I doubt he would be so animated then not follow it up.
