The signs seem to be after all this time that he's destined to come back one way or another. -
Been watching the winning goal countless times now. It's such a brilliant piece of overall play starting back in our own half when Tavernier begins a run that leads to the corner then Goldson put's it in. And the more I watched the more impressed I was with not just the play but the header. He was being wrestled and held all the time that ball was coming over and still put the perfect connection on it for a bullet of a header.

Derby clarifying that his major role is as a player. I would have taken him at Rangers in a majorly player plus trainee coach capacity for a reasonable but to him nominal wage. And surely it has to reach a point for someone like Rooney where the money becomes irrelevant. He already has an estimated worth over £120,000,000 Rooney like the also super wealthy Gerrard just wants to remain in the game in some capacity and obviously manager is the ultimate aim.

Euro QR4 Draw: Legia Warsaw/Atrimitos v FC Midtjylland/Rangers

I feel the Danes may be the biggest obstacle between us and the groups. As far as I can see after some research they're probably a better side than any of the potentials waiting in the following round. We want to come through Thursday with at worst a draw but I suspect we can do that. -

There were similarities to last season which hopefully will be resolved as we gel and settle to a more stable line up. But another difference is how many of us last season would have been expecting them to pull it out of the fire after such a late blow. It was a fabulous goal that began with a Tavernier run from inside our half and I expect to see more such quality play and more often as they settle and gel. -

I think we would all agree it could have been a lot worse. It's doable. -
I feel that at such a late stage he's actually doing the right thing by sitting down and taking what little time there was prior to play resuming to think is there any way I can tweak this situation to salvage it with such little time left. Or do I continue as we are still trusting they're capable of pull something out right to the end. These decisions can't be efficiently reasoned if standing on a touchline ranting.

The Spring & Summer 2019 Transfer Rumours Thread
JFK-1 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
If that were a possibility I think they should get him if Liverpool were to accept a figure around 5 mill with say appearance and success clauses. He's going to get better in the next few years as he matures to his physical peak. We could probably at least double that back in a couple of years or so while having his services in that time. And there just is a feel to the whole thing. If anyone wanted him at the Liverpool price it would already have been done. That's providing he accepted the transfer concerning which there has to be a possibility that Leeds say made an acceptable bid but Kent refused to go and Liverpool kept that quiet. I also think Kent idolises Gerrard and that's just one more reason he wants to be back for what everyone agrees should be an exciting season. Some might prefer another loan rather than a cash splash but a loan just has us spending money with no future return of that money. A purchase deal around the 5 mill you mentioned is still a major amount of money for Rangers but in this instance most likely an investment that will be paid back in full plus more. Add in the fact we know he can present a major threat and let's hope it happens. I would consider him an already proven with Rangers and Scottish football marquee signing. -

Yet the EPL window closes in just 4 days and Kent still doesn't have a transfer or loan deal. I don't see Liverpool keeping him in limbo for a season. That would defeat the point of trying to realise a major fee. And according to rumour he's being insistent on Rangers in one way or another. Then we have recent comments from Gerrard which could have multiple meanings but which I and some in media interpreted as hinting it's not over till it's over. And keep in mind early in the window he made a comment mentioning "taking it to the last day" regarding Kent. Then we have this apparent social media protest by Kent on instagram or something. He removed all ties to Liverpool while retaining just one picture from his career on it. His goal against Celtic. Now some may say big deal it means nothing but believe me in this day and age and being someone of his age group that's a major statement that couldn't be any more public. In this day and age and among his age group and even beyond that to celebrity footballers in general what he did amounted to a public act of rebellion aimed at Liverpool and his current status. Since he still has no transfer deal that we're aware of and he's making such public statements of his feelings on it and with just days left surely they're not going to keep him there not playing at a sufficient level. -
Tavernier for playing a captains role and saving the match. He made a remarkable run from around 15 yards inside our half shrugging off multiple tackles to keep the ball and put it in for what resulted in a corner after a good diving one handed save from their keeper to keep Aribo out. Tavernier then takes that corner sending over a ball that couldn't have been any more perfect for Goldson to bullet the winner into the net. This video starts just before Tavernier begins his run.

Two thirds of the possession 14 shots 10 on target against 5 shots with 3 on target for Kilmarnock. Three points in the bag from a traditionally difficult venue. I still feel they’re going to gel and hand out a number of thrashings hopefully starting with hubz who richly deserve it.

I was expecting a 3-0 win but I’m more intent on 3 points. And I’m still confident they will get better. What we just witnessed was no different from the multiple times the yahoos dug out a late winner last season. -

I will take that. It’s a winning start and a point more than we took from them all last season. -

At a time when we just want this to be over.
