I didn't expect to see the level of hatred on their forum that exists on others such as hubz but it does. And all the same fantasies and absurdity. Where do they get the money? Don't sell unless every penny is up front because they're going bust at any minute. We sell over 40K season tickets and pull millions in gate money from Euro qualification ties yet still 'where do they get the money' I suppose I actually do view their obsession as complimentary in fashion and comical in another. One more thing I found comical is that they thought Lafferty shouldn't be sold to us because they're in direct competition with us. In reality they weren't even in direct competition with hubz last season far less us even as we underperformed. They finished 21 points behind us and just 1 ahead of 7th placed Motherwell to scrape into the top 6.

I would love to see him up front with Morelos though that may take time to gel. Having a partner like that to play off and to draw off defenders could potentially elevate Morelos to a 30+ goals a season striker.

I'm presuming they're as real as we are and when you consider we have a considerably larger support than they do I think it's an impressive amount of obsessing on a single thread.

We're simply not obsessive enough about our team. On the heartz forum they have a topic about the Lafferty move that runs to 172 pages with 8,587 posts and increasing by the minute while our entire Summer transfer window topic currently has a total of 2,434 posts.

One thing that bothers me about this tie is that I feel more confident about it than I did about the others. First round Shkupi I felt we were a lot stronger than them but after last years first round fiasco I was concerned given that this team was a still unknown entity in a competitive game. Negotiated that then I felt Osijek and Maribor were of far greater quality which they were but got through that too which greatly elevated my confidence levels. Ufa I feel that not only are we better than them but that Osijek and Maribor were both much better than them. The problem is we have experienced so many false dawns i'm still not in a place where I can feel as confident in the team as I perhaps should. And that if I relax and give into the confidence the slap in the face that has been just around the corner these past few years will catch me out again.

Doesn't bother me but I have seen an Irishman become offended at being called a Paddy. And this same Irishman had been known to lump us all together as the 'Brits' and tag us with names a lot more uncomplimentary than Paddy.

So they don't watch TV replays which 100% prove it crossed the line? And if so how can they comment on it at all? Personally I knew that ball was over the line even before the replays conclusively proved it and I was watching on a sketchy internet stream at the time.

If a deal for Lafferty can be done which appears ever more likely then it's plain to see he's going to be joining our squad regardless of any reservations there may be among the support. If he does indeed join then it's obvious Gerrard decided he can do a job for us and since he has been spot on so far I will trust his judgement. Keep in mind that Gerrard is putting his reputation and his future prospects on the line here and wont be entering into these deals without putting a great deal of thought into it. Lafferty will give us another dimension in the front line and especially against the yahoos he's a been terror in recent times.
