  1. He and Alan Pardew will be 1 and 2 at Newcastle with Lennon as Director of Football
  2. They did, but Newcastle certainly wasn't the outfit to deliver it
  3. Watford 0-2 Liverpool Villa 2-1 Wolves Leicester 2-1 Man United Man City 3-0 Burnley Norwich 1-2 Brighton Southampton 2-0 Leeds Brentford 0-2 Chelsea Toffees 2-1 Hammers Newcastle 1-2 Spurs Arsenal 1-0 Palace
  4. I dont think we know as they haven't shared their work to any degree. I would be amazed if they can actually link it tbh, as they will also have to consider what each of these ex players did after finishing football, with many ending their careers much earlier than todays players. With training methods changing i doubt todays players even do heading practice anymore and how do thy compare a professional career of say 10-15 years from an amateur footballer who may have played 15 - 20 years with heading the ball still virtually the same technique. I feel they will try to make the science fit the required answer and until we see some evidence it should be treated with some healthy sceptism.
  5. Well lets see the evidence. It has been closely guarded as despite some high profile cases i doubt it shows cases in octagenarian footballers being higher than the general public. Also, they need to prove that modern balls cause the same alleged issues that the older balls octagenerian footballers would have been playing with cause. If proved then boxing would certainly be banned.

  7. Chelsea legend. 125 goals in 157 league games including 41 goals in 40 league games in one season. A goal machine if ever there was one.

  9. Ah as long as they both also played for Celtic also
  10. So from the Piggery will they use two ex Gers players?
  11. Yes i had to turn off, as Jim White discussing same old shite.
  12. Just heard on Talksport that Lennon and Sutton were refused entry last night as Rangers could not guarantee the pairs safety. Has anyone else heard if that is true, and if so why would BT Sport want either of them to work on a Rangers match? Seems a bizarre set of circumstances and possibly done to embarrass the club?
  13. What else should we expect from that swivel eyed plank.
  14. For all those wondering, no it isn't me the cops are chasing for giving McGinn some stick on Saturday
  15. Not sure, but it would be great if so, although i would miss the fun of them losing to some teams we have never heard of!!
  16. Would love that to be the final table
  17. Thought St Pauli were a bunch of lefties?
  18. Palace 1 Spurs 1 Gunners 2 Norwich 0 - surely they will win this one? Brentford 2 Brighton 1 Leicester 1 City 2 United 4 Magpies 0 Southampton 2 Hammers 1 Watford 1 Wolves 1 Chelsea 3 Villa 0 Leeds 2 Liverpool 1 Everton 1 Burnley 1
  19. Is any of this touching the msm yet, are there any tough questions being raised or sackings? There seems to be a lot of evidence but can't see any results?
  20. It's the middle class move into football. No standing, no swearing, no songs they dont approve of, prices rising to keep out the masses, CCTV and stewards everywhere to make sure they feel safe, welcome to PL football.
  21. We have all done that, been there and got the t shirt. My thoughts are that we have to be very careful when deciding what to ban/cancel or decide what should or shouldn't be allowed under the free speech banner. Not everything if you'll excuse the pun is black and white as we saw with the Rangers dressing room songs and what certain people chose to call out entirely wrongly as it turned out. True free speech works both ways so we can't pick and choose.
  22. A good point but i think the ship has already sailed on those points. There is a massive free speech issue in this country and it is getting worse. From cancelling people with different views at universities, to big tech closing people down views they dont agree with (Chinese lab issue is perfect example) to even cancelling the US President, then the SG wanting children to inform on their parents if they "mis-speak" at home and on to Corporates and recruitment firms trawling through social media of prospective or current employees. The UK is not free by any means - and is probably now the most intollerent of free speech in Western Europe.
  23. SG is right, but unfortunately the Guardian has neither.
  24. Satire? Didnt that die in 2017, just after Banter in 2015?
