Was only 9 pages when I saw it originally. Think it really picks up from there. The comment about him being out playing musical chairs is genius.

Unfashionable and Scottish. Though I can't explain Berg.

I think all the flop talk is harsh for a player who has suffered badly with injury. Something neither player nor manager can control or be blamed for. Very harsh imo.

Ps. I'll put myself forward for one. I'll leave Frankie or Craig to decide the order as normal.

United close the gap on Celtic in 2nd? (Well if the media will often report that Celtic have closed the gap on us in a weekend where they win the day after us, we can play their silly games too ).

Til Tuesday when we're 13 clear again? :spl:

Fairly agree with you. Though if we're giving Naismith, Lafferty and Beasley the benefit of the doubt (Naisy will come good with time and luck with injuries imo) then we must be as generous with Mendes who certainly was not a failure for me. Second time around his only poor transfer dealing, imo, have been Rothen, Faye and Carrol with Lafferty desperately running out of time to show he is worth keeping. Other's people may consider failures have been unlucky with injury which you cannot blame the manager for and include Webster and Naismith who may yet prove valuable players.

Thomson halves Ra Shellicks saviour - Keano the pikey

Something for Thomo to aspire to: -
How was the travelling support today now there (league) season is over? Edit: Crocker's closing statement included "Celtic still find themselves, rather embarassingly, a long, long, long way behind Rangers". :spl: Re-edit: And Ally Douglas reiterates the "embarrassing" distance.

Keane repaying his fee. 2 goals in, I think the Tennis term is, a dead rubber.

Don't see them losing to Killie unfortunately. Walker kept going on about this partnership upfront around about the time of the goal. No point banging on about a partnership which can't affect this season's league title and when one half of the partnership will be returning to his parent club in the summer.

Do we need/want a Celtic win today? Another poor result may see Monkeyheid out of a job and we don't want that. Edit: Dunno if Crocker was taking the piss there but he're a little exchange between the commentary team Crocker: "The referee's top bears a striking resemblence to Robert Olejnik's (Falkirk keeper)". Andy Walker: "In my day the ref came in to the changing rooms to check the colour of the keepers top but he obviously hasn't done that today". Crocker: "Well that could be another complaint for Celtic.

Don't wanna jinx it. Law of averages and the fact they have more quality dictates Celtic should win today.

Being a relative youngster I grew up with Walter at the helm. So for me it just feels natural to have him as boss. It's comforting. You just feel like we're going to win and dominate that other mob when you see him in the dugout.

Only saw bits and peices as the links were up and down like the Celtic fans bravado over winning the league these last couple of months. So it's good to get a view from someone who saw the whole game. From the bits I saw I thought similar of Beasley and was glad it was him out there and not Lafferty. And that says a lot about Kyle as I don't really rate DMB.

(But how many for the treble? ) Celtic can finish with a maximum of 84 points I believe (currently on 51 with 11 games and a potential 33 points to go). Prior to today we were 8 wins from guaranteeing the title. 3 points today means we need only a further 7 wins assuming Celtic win all their games (winning or avoiding defeat in the final Old Firm will of course change that ). We're on 64 points now, 7 more wins (21 points) would put us on a insurmountable 85 points. So I intend to use this thread to keep track of how many points we are from the title. :spl: 21 is the current target, though I would be highly suprised if it wasn't a few less.

Somewhere there's a list of quotes from a veritable who's who of European (World?) football commenting on Ibrox and the Rangers. Some fantastic quotes about our club.

Tony Mowbray says Lafferty reaction was to blame for red card
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Exactly, Lafferty's reaction is neither here not there. Brown tried to headbutt someone. Only in Celtic's paranoid minds could that be acceptable. -
