  1. Well I was going to say it was funny we had the same views of man u, all as non man u fans. Was going to ask if all fans of my generation felt the same (had Cehlski diluted the man u hatred), then realised you two old cunts aren't my generation!
  2. Jon says he echoes your sentiments exactly. I'm now wondering is this the standard view of Man Utd for every football fan between 20-odd and 40 or however old you two are()?
  3. Ok, where's the real Gribz and what did you do with him? :fish:
  4. Is that the royal we?
  5. Re: Klos. Says more about you than the rest of the squad Andy!
  6. Aww jeezuz christ. Just when I was beginning to think you were alright! (Genuine question are you Scottish or English (or neither I guess). I assume, rightly or wrongly, most Bears on forums to be Scottish. Excuse my prejudice and xenophobia everyone. )
  7. His arms out by his side. But is he not side on to the attacker, so in that respect his body is almost between his arm and the direction the ball is coming from, like his arm is stretched out behind him? May be wrong on that. Totally agree on the last line though BD. Hopefully Tom Murphy will spot it thought!
  8. It's Goram no questions asked. One of the greatest keepers of all time. Not one of Rangers greatest. Not one of Scotland's greatest. One of the greatest. Quality story btw BD.
  9. Was that the Pique one?
  10. He'll never match Coisty's overall record. His record against Celtic even less so. MY arguement though, is that having a man with the ability to at least put up a decent attempt on Coisty's 355 is something we should be looking to assist.
  11. 1st penalty. Final "foul" in the box. Intial contact outside. Freekick. Final contact not enough for a pen imo. 2nd. Definitely not a penalty. Disgusted by the partizan commentary. They would be abusing the barca play like hell had they gone down so softly. Especially considering Drogba's strength and the minimal contact. 3rd. Can't remember this right now. 4th pen. Ball to hand, seen them given. 5th. Ball to hand. Seen them given. Abidal sending off, joke. Clear dive. I would be more inclined to feel sorry for Chelsea had the studio taken a more reasonable view of the incidents. For example the clear pulling down of Henry in the box in the first leg was far more a penalty than the 3 "fouls" against Chelsea this leg yet the pundits weren't losing all sense of their professionalism in discussing the incident.
  12. I want Boyd to play well and score (In a Rangers vicotry) more than anyone else in the squad this weekend. Purely because I believe that could be the springboard to 100% backing from the fans and manager that could see him put up a decent chase for McCoist's record and ultimately benefit Rangers with years and years of success. A Kris Boyd who can add big performances in big games to his awesome goalscoring tally would be indispensible to Rangers and I really think an Old Firm winning, and potentially League winning goal, could be the catalyst for years of success for Rangers.
  13. Too lazy to read it, just saw the capacity in the box on the side. I'd be quite happy for finals to be held at murrayfield. I don't have experience of going to Old Hampden etc so wouldn't be overly perturbed about tradition. It would reduce complaints such as the current one over the final and sitting behind the goals at Hampden is a crappy view.
  14. Tbf you could give Boydie the top scorer award at the start of the season.
  15. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrayfield_Stadium 67,130. Did you already know it was pretty much the 70k mark?
  16. With my arguement that if not producing a player for the first team squad each year, we should at least be producing players who could be sold for a reasonable fee to off-set the costs of youth development, it occurs to me that the real failing is not in youth development but in transfer dealings. How many of Man U's youngsters who don't make it end up at a Middlesborough or a West Brom, or at least playing in the lower leagues. And these players go for decent sums. Sure coming from Man U, even with little to no first team experience bumps their price up. But then even Celtic managed a Million or so for Craig Beattie after fleeting first team experience. You mention Ross McCormack. Banging goals in in the Championship and an internationalist. Were we adequately recompensed for his development. Sure he will have improved at Motherwell, but did he not leave on a free. He scored a Champions League goal agaisnt Porto. Did Beattie ever match that? Steven McLean was outscoring Jon Stead at an inferior team in the same division (forget the exact details) before Stead went to Blackburn for £1mil. What did we get for McLean? We need to make more of transfer dealings when offloading quality youngsters who just aren't quite good enough for Rangers.
  17. Apologies for my ignorance BD. Feel a bit of an arse now as I was not aware of that and thought the timing of this award's "appearance" was suspicious. Thanks for setting me straight.
  18. Boyd winning the Sam English bowl. Is it just me or does that smack a bit of Boyd's had a good season and deserves an award despite being nowhere near the player awards so we'll make up a new one for him? Good to see him get some recognition in any case.
  19. Since they were last at Ibrox. Not inspiring stuff. With Boogie back. Plenty of reason for confidence.
  20. Or just have the resources to out bid them. I'm yet to be convinced he is worth the hype, but I am judging him purely on games against us which may be unfair.
  21. Can't argue with that. There is a good shout for saying SAF would not have picked Fletcher for the final in any case. That's why I said "fair chance". Will be some disappointed players come the final!
  22. Reading that I really hope we don't rue the 4 points from Aberdeen/Motherwell. Plus the 10 points or whatever it is that Celtic have "gained" throughout the season, particularly early on.
  23. BlueDell put it very succinctly but have to add a few points. The two situations are not comparable. Ibrox can only hold 50,000. All these fans could not attend every home game. 200,000 did not watch in the COMS anyway, so that figure is misleading in this arguement. And we still had less than our average home gate at the match. We'll put up a big screen for all the Falkirk fans in Glasgow and only 4,000 can go to the game. Also Rangers do not subsidise the European game for everyone else (well not to the same extent ). Scottish football would not survive without our fans yet we're to step aside and let some Falkirk glory supporters enjoy the games show piece. A little dumfounded that a Rangers fan continues to argue against our case tbh.
  24. I'm unsure as to how that related to the reality of the situation? We are the bigger club, with the greater funds and the better facilities. (Arguably we should have access to the greater coaches but I think this is the first point where we fall down). In any case, due to the numerous advantages we boast over our rivals should we not expect to be producing a better standard of youth player and even arguable more players of sufficient quality to promote to the youth team? I am of course aware that there are certain realities that will hinder the progress of youths, not just at Rangers but at any "big club", such as the requirement for instant success. (Prodigious talents like Fleck and Rooney aside). And this is where utilising links to other clubs for loaning out players should be utilised. Something we appear to be doing better recently. I think some people are unrealistic in their expectations of Murray Park and our youth set up. I do, though, believe that we should be producing a player or two every year who should be able to be promoted to the first team squad or sold for a reasonable fee to offset the costs of running the youth set up.
  25. Are Tom Murphy and Kenny Clark a fecking double act?!
