Prob best to exclude Beasley from this weekend's game as earlier this season he has shown how the jetlag affects him, he is unable to maintain his standards of play after flying acorss a number of time zones.

I think UCF and Calscot make good points. Whilst Smith should alter his team according to the opposition I also agree with Gribz is saying. He should not be changing to defensive formations against Aberdeen/Celtic. He should be changing his formation to give us the best opportunity to defeat the opposition, whoever they are. He should not be changing from a succesful 4-4-2 to a defensive outlook in an attempt to avoid defeat/snatch a draw.

Celtic's results since the last OF: Celtic 2-2 Dundee Utd Aberdeen 4-2 Celtic Celtic 3-1 Hibs Celtic p0-0 Dundee Utd (League cup) ICT 0-0 Celtic Celtix 2-1 Queen's Park (Scottish cup) If that's not a reason to "twist" I don't know what is?

Walter will almost certainly "stick". If we manage to rob them of the 3 points it will be in spite of a negative approach, not because of a defensive outlook.

If you're good enough, you're old enough. Other countries don't worry about it when they're calling up a Rooney or a Walcott. Though he's not even in the squad this time around?

I echo Frankie's sentiments to a degree. Though with our massively reduced potential for income, does this really in anyway level the playing field? In fact arguably might it make it even more difficult for us compete, though with the caveat of perhaps making smaller clubs (in terms of income) more responsibly run?

The SFA's arguement looks quite flawed. Saying it was ok the day before and the temperature dropped below zero over night doesn't wash when Bain had already told them that that would be the case. Quite how they think they have answered Bain's point I am not sure?

No worries, just hadn't occurred before. No real issue. But I know one intention of the other feed was to increase traffic and discussion and thought another feed might have the same effect.

Don't know which but one of the papers had the story, quotes from Woods etc, in the last day or two. Maybe someone else will be able to provide it.

Could you not find a smaller font. Agree was a godo read. Quite agree with Fleck's (senior I guess) points about keeping his feet on the ground and keep improving. I don't suppose he will, but he can't stop striving to improve now that he's in the first team squad.

I talked about this in the preview. I'm not sure if a fortnight without a competitive match is a godo thing. Look at how getting the game before Lyon postponed backfired and the same when the OF had their matches prior to the Scotland-Italy game postponed. Sometimes it's better to keep playing and keep sharp. As you say hopefully the AC Milan game will help attenuate the effects if not having played in two weeks. If we win, then no doubt there will be cries from their mob of us having had extra rest being the difference. If we fail to win there will equally likely be talk of not being match sharp.

Woods is disputing it. Says VdS has 4 games to go due to a goal conceded in the World Club Championship. He says its a Fifa sanctioned competitive game so the goal should count. Can't pick and choose the games that count!
