In this time of financial hardship how would the funding of such a scheme, say in partnership with Bellahouston Academy, be funded? Long term it could well be an earner for the club if we could start realising fees for youths not deemed good enough for the club. But as that has not been happening with the players coming out of MP I don't see how this scheme might change that with the likes of Bain still at the club. As has been pointed out only really Ferguson, Hutton and now Fleck in recent times have come straight from the youths into the first team. Unless they are an exceptional talent, the young players will have to go out on loan at a lower level first and that certainly appears to be something we have looked at this year if you consider Loy, Furman, Lennon, Shinnie, Lowing and more.

He has done well both times he has played defensive midfield, last night and Aberdeen. Whether it is a good idea to try and move him to that position permanently I am unsure.

Well it seemed to accept my nominations?

Right guys. 1) How many tickets sold? 2) Milan's Fee? 3) Who is in the squad Milan have brought with them? I had another question but i've forgotten it.

I left two blanks. One about the editor. Didn't know any editors of printed fanzines and unsure if it would be possible to put a Gersnet related answer there? Sorry if I was being thick.

Done mate. Good luck guys.

And bet365, so i've been told. I alread had one, but did a few of the guys sign up with the betting partners?

Sectarian Attacked Missed By All Major Media Outlets
Super_Ally replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Unless I didn't read it right when skimming the article it says the victim(s) weren't wearing colours. -
Aye, about £275,000 i've seen.
-
And with us needing to raise £3mil, where does knocking back a £3.5 mil bid for Mendes fit in with all of this?

A well written review mate. Will have to ensure I get a read of this book soon. A little frsutrating you can no longer read into our great club without having the sectarian nonsense brought up and blown out of proportion. I am not saying I want a blindly, biased positive read. I merely ask is it necessary to have it mentioned in everything connected to the club. And if it has to be dredger up continually how about not ignoring the ills of the worst perpetrators. I'm a fan of Smith, even if he has made mistakes more keenly highlighted in his second tenure and Silversmith sounds well worth a read.

Pleasantries out the way, now get posting!!

Fair point. But if we put out a shadow side then those who like to spout "internet-bile" will use it as an excuse to get tore in to Murray.

I thought that, only 2 clubs will have held his registration.

Sectarian Celtic fans strike again

An update: -
I agree with you in principle though not sure i'd start with so many changes. A brand new back 5 (with kirk moving position) 1 change in midfield and 2 upfront. That's only 3 guys retaining their place. I'd begin with 2 or 3 changes and make regular substitutions throughout.
-
With Smith's loan move to St Mirren falling foul of red-tape I think this is the perfect opportunity to allow him to play with his first team team mates. With many fans already annoyed at this money making exercise I think it would be highly disrespectful to put out a shadow team (though not doing so might potentially be damaging to our season) and I do not expect many changes, at least until half time. However it is an ideal opportunity to give some of the guys who have been well out the picture some game time with the spine of the first XI. Giving Webster, Beasley and one or two other at least a half with your Bougherra's, McGregor's and Mendes' might turn this into a worthwhile exercise, boosting our squad for the rest of the season.

Good for our game. Especially considering the credit crunch. Though the effects of that are maybe yet to be fully felt?

Anyone know Milan's Fee. Seen a few wildly varying estimations. I'm sure we can expect the crowd to grow a bit between now and k.o. too Gribz.

Lol, irate was apoor choice of words but you and shroomz appear polar opposites on your views of the club's direction. As you say, no prizes handed out in January/February and I don't agree with a few of that posters points. However when you consider where we were at on Jan 1st and how we have felt at times throughout the month, there is no doubt we are in a better position now than we were at the beginning of the month. As had been said a million times already, it's about time we took advantage of one of these opportunities that we are regularly presented with.
-
A post that Shroomz will enjoy and will make MF irate. I make no apologies for stealing this from FF, I thought it would be a good post to stir debate and bring a bit of optimism to the board after what was a fraught transfer window:
-
I agree with MF on this point. Celtic don't seem to have the same trouble getting rid of unwanted players. In fact they often seem to turn a tidy profit. (One or two aside e.g Balde). We're are extremely poor when it comes to contracts, shifting on decent enough players and our alround general transfer activity. How can Celtic get millions for the likes of Craig Beattie and yet we are going to see a player like Hemdani go at the end of his contract. (Yes I don't rate Hemdani as highly as most but surely a small fee for him to get a regular game in the french top flight should not have been out of the question.
-
Not that I saw earlier. Hopefully one will be forthcoming. Seems it was an FF poster.
-
How come it always sneaks under the radar with them? Or did I just miss it staying down here now:

35k sold apparently. Well done to the loyal fans who've decided to go along, because I couldn't afford it atm (especially with the travel costs involved for me too).
