Be a bit surprised if that's where he ends up.

Bookmarked for later. Off into london in a bit so wont have time to view today (Assuming it must be reasonably long ).

2 midfielders for a team badly needing defenders. Hope that bites them on the arse!

Apparently today was the stop gap's 198th appearance for the Gers. If plays against St Johnstone (barring injury or whatever) then 2nd of January he will be captaining Rangers against Celtic in his 200th appearance. Quite a mile stone for a short term signing to steady the ship.

Celtic score first: 2-0 St Johnstone. Goals in 91st and 93rd minute. 1-1 Killie. Equaliser 84th minute. 2-2 ICT. Snatching a draw from the jaws of a 2 goal victory. 1-1 Dundee Utd. Another 2 points dropped with a 94th minute equaliser for their opponents. 1-0 St Mirren. Late victory earnt by 92minute Hooper strike. 0-2 Hearts. A goal in each half earns jambos a victory. First 4 listed were home games, last 2 away. Since Aberdeen 9-0, Celtic have won just 2 games and they have both been courtesy of last minute goals. They have been equally susceptible to last minute or late goals. This run of late goals to win or draw games they have been losing is unlikley to continue though. You can only ride your luck so far. They really are in truly horrible form. I expected them to win today. I just didn't expect them to makes such a meal of it and the fact that it went so long before they broke the deadlock left me hoping for more for St Johnstone. Looking at their current run of form though, if we can beat St Johnstone we will go into the Old Firm knowing that if we can secure a victory that we are more than capable of we will be 5 points clear with a game in hand. From a team that matched us win for win in the first 8 or 9 games, the wheels have fallen off badly and we could all but bury them with a win in the next two games. I dont expect much from the Motherwell team we played today when they travel to Parkhead on the 29th, but with Celtic's home form you never know. And in any case, 2 wins for the Gers in the next two and it wont really matter. It really is a shocking run of form and only a few late strikes has given it any air of respectability. Any worse and it would be the form you'd expect of a bottom 6 outfit. Lets take care of St Johnstone and bury them on the second!

We don't have a good recent record up there. If we are to win, I expect it will be close. And we haven't been defending nearly as well this year nor keeping as many clean sheets. Smart money would surely be on a narrow victory. 2-1, maybe 3-1. Would be good to see Beattie get a goal, if he starts.

I didn't threaten you with a ban. I did however say it was the last time such behaviour would be completely overlooked. I am not lord of the internet. But as a mod it is upto me to keep an eye on the content of the forum and I felt such an outburst, once again, was not beneficial to the forum. Feel free to express your views in a more challenging and intelligent manner. You clearly have not read the rest of the thread if you did not grasp that profanities were not the issue, it was the vitriolic insults that you seem all too prone to. I do not understand these meaningless terms like "apologist". A word bandied about to try and denigrate another poster's views whilst trying to mask the fact that your are not making any kind of valid point. I'm not sure what I have my head in the sand about regarding McCulloch and Beattie being dickheads. I think you will realise you have no kind of valid point there. If you wish to continue this take it to pm.

It has become fashoinable, more so on FF than here, to attack players for merely fulfilling media commitments (e.g. attending a press conference or completing a club interview) or responding to press enquiries. I honestly think a large proportion of our fans think guys like McCulloch go seeking journalists to print and air their views because the players like the sound of their own voice. If people don't like these players speaking they are attacking the wrong people, I doubt the players put themselves forward for these things but that the club put forward senior players who they think represent the club well. However, there is a bit of a culture of parroting the same tired points and knowing you will get a lot of support for your post because it suits many fans agendas e.g. a dislike of McCulloch (this again aimed more elsewhere than posters here). A lot of internet bears don't stop and think, is what I am posting likely and reasonable, they just type these threads because they'll get a lot of support for the view. In some ways akin to the tarrier idea of repeat a lie often enough....

Doncaster - Fans will embrace plans

I know what you meant but look at answer 2 + 3. -
How do you suggest a sensible debate with Totti over whether or not McCulloch and Beattie are "dickheads" should go? I can only assume you were not aware of the un-edited version of the post. If you are not I'm not really fussed whether or not you think debating whether or not Rangers players are dickheads is debate worthy. For what it's worth, my own opinion is that saying a player is fucking shit or useless is fine. Saying they are a dickhead or whatever is not. It's not useful. It doesn't generate debate (which is what we're here for after all). It's just a childish outburst that is not needed on the forum.

What always cracks me up about fan getting their knickers in a twist over players talking to the press is that they mostly the players are just fulfilling the media commitments of their job. Neither McCulloch nor Beattie go chasing journalists around demanding they print their views. They are merely responding to questioning by Scottish media or club sources for official publications. Totti, you were told the other day to cut out the personal abuse and profanity. You can make your point perfectly well without stooping to that. Giving you the benefiit of the doubt..... one last time.

Scott Brown - Celtic has strong squad
Super_Ally replied to Gazza_8's topic in General Football Chat
Another timmy propaganda piece. "Stong along the backline". Really? Brown "was typically modest in his assessment" of his performance against Killie. Where he had an ineffectual sub appearance in which they massively bottled the chance ot go top. And that's only because I read the start and end of the article. -

A guy on FF, claims his source is Durrant's mate.
-
Where MFs contempt is not explicitly stated it is assumed.
-
Na, go ahead mate. Was just surprised no one else had indicated interest and was going to fill in if no one else did. Keep my powder dry for the second.

Another player who should be a lesson to our fans about not judging a player too quickly. Unless it's Sebo! :fish:

Names in for Motherwell guys? I can write it after work on xmas eve if no one is interested?
-
Well said Mixu.

Reason for posting was to highlight that come Jan 2 we could be in a commanding position yet having played away significantly more and home less compared to them.
-
Some great reading there. After seeing them cock up again it's always good to come online and read their views.

What was I saying?

Thought Bryson was very good tonight. Is he the same boy who was at Clyde when they cuffed Celtic? Eremenko and Taouil were instrumental in taking something from that game once they took the lead. Their great close control allowed them to play it out from the back more effectively than at 0-0. Chattery was crap for Celtic. Would rather he was here for the OF than at the Asian games. One other point, how many times did the Tims call for handballs for a penalty? Too used to getting their own way? I don't mind people calling for things when they legitmately think they have a case, but not when they clearly know they are at it. Edit: What a cracking early xmas present! :spl:
