  1. Well this is a fucking shambles. It is essentially promoting the idea that sectarianism is only commited against catholics with this quote: "If you want to tackle anti-Semitism you need to speak to Jewish people, if you want to tackle anti-Catholic attitudes you need to speak to Catholics." Whilst we all know it works both ways. They are pretending that is not the case. How will catholic preists help prevent sectarianism and educate when it is people on "their" side demonstrating sectarian behaviours towards protestants/non-catholics in the case of Diamond and Paton? I also agree with this from Ian's quote: "People I speak to within the game are fed up with every week bringing a new conspiracy theory and another referee being at fault. It has to be brought to an end". But the SFA are the wrong targets. It is Celtic who need to be spoken to if the conspiracy theories are to end. The Church has much place lecturing on sectarianism in football as it does on not abusing chidlren.
  2. If he fucks off back over there I hope his career is a rip roaring failure.
  3. That's true, but i'd still rather not risk it tbh.
  4. Boogie back. Good news. Papac for the ICT game and Edu for St Mirren. Getting players fit again at a critical time.
  5. Ha ha. Great shout.
  6. What is this? The worse Brown plays, or when he's out injured and people have forgotten how poor he actually is, the greater the sum and the more prestigious the club he is linked with. Agree with Danny, even if Ireland has struggled at Villa I wouldn't fancy him playing there.
  7. Would be amusing if Dallas got a better job (and could also stitch them up in Europe with a dodgy ref ).
  8. Only skimmed through a few paragraphs, but when even their own are telling Kearney to shut up and stop revelling in victimhood it says it all.
  9. Btw England are saying they wont make a bid again (until the process changes). Just sums up the arrogance displayed in there bid from the off. We are england ergo we deserve to automatically win the bidding process and we're in a huff now because we didn't. Have the other unsuccesful nations also had a strop? Or just the arrogant English, pretty universally hated and not doing anything to change that. They've had the WC before. Imo, only, any semi-decent and realisitc bid from a country which has not before hosted the competition should be considered before countries who have had it.
  10. I thought that was completely bizarre.
  11. Super Jig will be fine.
  12. I agree his leaving has perhaps contributed to Naisy and Lafferty playing better, more the former. WIth the attack (at least earlier in the season) being more fluid. However, with Miller's increased goal-scoring I think there has been a decrease in his overall game and contribution. In many games he has played almost like Boyd in that he has scored and contributed little else. That has nothing to do with how highly anyone rates Boyd or not. It's just an observation that Miller's overall game and work rate now looks even more overrated than it used to.
  13. I dont agree the chances we will play CL football are slim over the next few years. Reduced if we have to qualify through the champions route but not slim. We are 50:50 for the league, for this season in fact we're maybe 55:45. We will be seeded favourites for the league winners route. From the following season there is every chance Scotland could regain it's automatic spot. Having said that I agree with Cal's other points.
  14. For a man who had to work to gain any kind of popularity he would be pissing off a lot of fans. Also considering he has been mostly god awful throughout his career is it really worth risking the kind of form and ability he has displayed when playing under Walter Smith for Scotland and Rangers that he has never reproduced elsewhere for any kind of consistent time. There are no guarantees a move would work out well for him aside from the financial aspect.
  15. Leggat is promoting his new email subscription service for his blogs in each post now. Might it be possible and in fact easier to set up one of those feeds for him? Apologies if that takes a lot of work Frankie, I have to admit I have no idea how it works. Leggat makes a good point (despite some spelling and grammatical errors that must be highlighted MF :fish:). Why has Kearney not waded in about Frankie Boyle? I didn't see his Tramadol nights, what precisely was said?
  16. Wouldn't be fair for me to do one so soon again. I'll let someone put themselves forward for the next two spare ones and i'll take the one on Jan 2nd.
  17. OT: Couldn't recall what Stevie Smith was upto so googled. Injured in pre-season for Norwich he's hardly played. Might get a run now due to a team mates injury. Shame as he looked like he could go far.
  18. When you factor in the fact we have earned a few more points this year in the CL and have at least one round in the Europa cup there should certainly be a greater profit from European football than last year, with the possibility of a little more.
  19. Glad it's not England tbh. Also didn't like some of the comments I was hearing about why they should be getting it. Tbh if there's a counry who hasn't done it before who has a decent/reasonable bid then they should always be the leading choice.
  20. Zappa asked for Bursa, will update it with him doing that. Will put you in for St Mirren unless you and Frankie agree otherwise. Atm makes sense to leave Frankie in for ICT though as Hearts is off so it's not like he's doing that one.
  21. What was the final straw? Apparently 9-0 v Celtic wasn't enough on its own?
  22. Well he gave us a rest while we wait on Boogie and Papac's fitness.
  23. Unprecedented decision? Nothing to do with the referee shit storm caused by the tims then?
  24. I'll take another when it's my turn? Has pete been put down for one recently?
  25. McDonald had to quit because of a lie right?
