  1. It's not odd. It's typical. These things are always twisted by tarriers. I started a thread on here before where i'd done some stats looking at the yearly awards. Celtic were often winning awards when we were the dominant side (league winners etc), yet the reverse was never or rarely true.
  2. Sammon???????????
  3. The opening gambit doesn't quite tie with what Dougal actually said. He's not saying Bougherra got out on some technicality, as Lennon did. He's saying that Bougherra's conduct was not violent so the correct decision was taken.
  4. Aye, that's what I was getting at. They have 3 away as that is what they need to make up there full compliment of 19 home and away fixtures metlika.
  5. Celtic are the only team to never have been stiffed by the split. Is that still the case?
  6. Seeing as they all "got away with it" thanks to the referee's report does that not make Clark's comments the other day look a bit stupid. Will he be retracting those views?
  7. Eh? Not if both sides committed different "offences".
  8. Dutch football is not in such a state that you can dismiss the top few clubs in Holland as no marks. They may not be the Ajax '95, but they were good enough to give us a game and mugging them off because they got beaten by a good Benfica side as a way of further denigrating our own team is pretty tiresome.
  9. Clearly not as bad as some would make out having only just fallen off top spot in the Eridivisie. You cant judge a team on one poor result in any case.
  10. No problem as it changes next year anyway, no?
  11. Joint 3rd top scorer in the league alongside Hooper for a team in fourth. Not doing to bad by my reckoning.
  12. Common sense analysis of the issue.
  13. Imagine the uproar should the tims, for the first time ever, get the shitty end of the stick. Even though it has happened to many other teams before team and to their only real competition for the title, in particular, several times.
  14. Brown snarling and posturing and goal in one of the games has done much to hide the fact that actually he doesn't play very well, doesn't contribute much and isn't a good player. In the game he scored Diouf had the better of that battle on the few occasions they were directly in opposition to each other. Unfortunately Brown then scored and that again painted over a crap performance.
  15. Scored against the World Champions!
  16. Both Parkhead OF games. Guaranteed sell out (near enough) will fudge numbers up. How much though. Old Firm at Ibrox still to come. Will have an impact on our average and will close the gap. Also if they have a "big" game e.g. home to Hearts, or opportunity to go top with a win, their greater capacity also has the potential to skew their average up. In addition to other factors mentioned above, like the fact that they are lying bastards.
  17. One plays pretty football and one wins trophies. :fish:
  18. And by the same token so it Cotter, so no need to continually defend Totti's honour. He/She is not a damsel in distress.
  19. I have see plenty of people discussing trophies won by the respective managers when they were in direct competition, or if you like 'head to head'. It would be unfair to compare trophies won by O'Neill before Eck was there.
  20. Sort of true, but we all know that trophies won is the only statistic that counts. The rest is window dressing.
  21. Watching him in the few games so far it's clear he adds a lot to our squad, particularly in attack and building play. He's a step above much of what we have and looks like an EPL player playing with SPL players. Fortunately he's not so much better that he's blase and plays like he thinks he's too good for us. Would be very happy to take him on a permanent signing.
  22. Very true. By the same token, that right individual might just be Scottish. Re: the O'Neill - Strachan comparison. (hate them both ) but Strachan has the better record, especially looking at Europe, when comparing them at the tims. Also Totti posted a factual inaccuracy. Head to head, trophies wise, Eck was better then O'Neill.
  23. Letting yourself down because someone else has done it isn't really a valid excuse. "he did it too" doesn't work in the school play ground nor in the adult world. Behaving with class and dignity yourself is not dependent upon someone else showing the same standards.
  24. I dont expect we see the vast majority of the actual training. THe press will only get in for this sort of physical training and the real work; tactics and technical will be done behind closed doors. Hence we don't see any of the real stuff in Willie Vass's photos.
