The Best Players Available On A Bosman
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I'm available on a bosman and under 30. -
Burley has a right go at everything Celtic!

Whats the response been from the deluded? Post #3 sums up my views. -
A thread where so far I find myself in agreement with all the gersnet views. Bitter, twisted article that either deliberately ignores the success stories or is just plain factually incorrect. At any point did anyone claim simply building Murray Park would allow us to leave everyone in our wake? I don't remember that.

He still needs to treat employees (e.g. Bain) at the company (Rangers) as he would normally in business. The fans (or customers as we are sometimes known ) may be a different case.

What's your predictions for the Champions league final tonight?

McCoist makes his first signings - Twin Norwegian defenders

Or move the thread to the lounge and post more pics? -
Not often I agree with you () but you raise a good point there. Shows we can attract reasonable quality from the EPL (Beattie aside??).

Just a reminder to take what you read online with a pinch of salt huh Zappa? -

Agreed, signing a couple of youths will not impact upon our signings for the first team imo. It will not be a case of one or the other. Every year we also pick up young players for the development squads. Any professional team would do the same. -
David Vaughan tempted by Rangers move as club make approach
Super_Ally replied to Stefanovitch's topic in Rangers Chat
The kind of football article I would like to read more of. Rather than about their sex lives, hyping up Rooney to be the measure of Lionel Messi (whether or not Barca win tonight) and the other usual bs you get. If I watched Blackpool this year I would typically focus on Adam ans was not aware of Vaughan's contribution so much. Will be interesting to see where he ends up. -

Either is good tbh. -

Archie Campbell i'm surprised about. Heard good things. What's elfi saying? -
You're also dealing in "what ifs" then. Well what if he invested wisely what he earned previously in his career and is now the richest man on the planet???? There are no indications he is struggling financially. Therefore I stand by my original point that was arguing agains the idea that Kenny Miller doesn't have a pot to piss in. I initially argued against some highly improbably hypothetical argument by another poster. We can only deal in what we "know" and at the moment there is no indication that Miller has money troubles so to make excuses for him as that poster did holds no water with me. I have more respect for those arguments which say that at 4x his wages he would be stupid not to move. There is an position I can see and agree with.

Signings in last year: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%9311_Rangers_F.C._season#In 3 the wrong side of 30. The other 5, 25 or younger. I think it's time to let the 30 year old + signing jokes go tbh. -
We also now appear to be suggesting Miller will retire at the end of his playing days. I highly doubt that. But if he does retire at say 36 good luck to him. I'm sorry but I just refuse to by that a man who has been the subject of about £10mil in transfer fees and has been paid in excess of £10k as a basic wage since probably at least his first Rangers spell (bearing in mind he spent a few years in the prem prob earning double that). Throw in bonuses. Throw in any kind of marketing and sponsorship. It is frankly laughable to suggest Miller needed to go to Bursaspor to secure his families financial stability.

Maybe that's Jelly now? Davis is one of the best.

Hope you're right.

TBH I forgot about the NI game in Feb that was part of this until they showed all the results after the game there. Can see ROI winning this home nations comp.

Whats that gotta do with Miller who was (most likely) a multimillionaire before moving to Turkey?

Can we stop playing Wales. It's embarassing. Coleman blaming McGregor. Bit harsh I feel.

I dont know why, but I hoped or assumed the debt would be written off. I hope he hasn't merely acquired the debt himself so he can earn it back over time, even if it is under more favourable circumstances. Completely clearing the debt would surely put Rangers in a very strong position. Though why would a businessman do that?
-
Thought the Tims were getting him.

I would really like to see this 100% conclusively, in black and white. Is this definitely the case and is it proven anywhere. Has the debt merely be shifted to us owing Whyte's companies?
