I thought both centre halves were superb against that lot. Also, I recall Harry Redknapp saying recently that one of Barton's best qualities was the amount of corners/set pieces that he gets his head to (defensively speaking) Hopefully this will be more evident as the team settles, ie when Holt and Windass get fit...

First post on here folks, I know he's Australian but I'd really like to have seen us signing Jackson irvine from County. He's a midfielder, but with his aerial ability and height, and passing range, I reckon he'd have been a good option at centre half. Whether they would've sold him to us, who knows. Burton albion though, he could've done better than that. Money talks I suppose.
