  1. When many SPFL teams come to Ibrox, they sit deep and hope to frustrate us. If they are successful in this, they hope to have a go in the last 10 minutes to sneak a goal. We seem to be the opposite. We expect to have lots of possession and plug away, get the breakthrough and then build on it. When this does not happen, we seek to protect what we have towards the end of the game. When you are only 1 goal up with 10 minutes to play and you know the other team will come at you, you have a choice – seek to exploit their openness and risk giving them space, or shore up and play out the game. It seemed yesterday that the players’ mentality was the latter. Whether that was the Manager’s preference, I don’t know. We have the best defensive record in the SPFL and that’s not to be sniffed at. We also have some players who are not playing as well as we would have hoped. We would all like to see expansive attacking football with silky skills on show. But when that is not happening, maybe we need to be grateful for 3 points and move on. As the other Mick said – You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you’ll find you get what you need.
  2. What's with all this moaning about the team? I'm sitting Top of the Pops. Let me enjoy it while I can.

  4. Always looking on the bright side.
  5. Rangers 3 - 0 Motherwell FGS Dessers
  6. Banning may be a tad extreme, though several names have been noted.
  7. And rightly so.
  8. Will anyone who voted Yes change their mind if we win.
  9. Rangers 1 - 0 Real Betis FGS Dessers
  10. Never better. The moaning minnies must be countered.
  11. Betis (home) win Prague (away) draw Aris (home) win Aris (away) win Prague (home) win Betis (away) draw total 14 points
  12. St Johnstone 0 - 2 Rangers FGS Dessers
  13. Were Potter to come to Ibrox, to rebuild his reputation he would have to win the league and/or have a spectacular run in Europe. Having done that he would be whisked back to England. Is that what we really want?
  14. Do you really think they would consider coming to Scotland? I can't see it.
  15. Is it still our intention to appoint a DoF? Have the Board commented either way?
  16. Nothing new there then
  17. It shows our strength that we have such high value players as squad players
  18. Rangers 2 - 0 Celtic FGS Dessers
  19. The pendulum has swung. Get it in your diary- 22 May 2024 Europa final, Dublin
  20. Sometimes it's difficult to keep track on here. Before the PSV home games, many were saying we're going to take a pasting. We didn't and suddenly we were going to go to Eindhoven to qualify, come third in our group, drop to the Europa and go on to win it. Following a pasting in Eindhoven, all our players (apart from Butland) are rubbish, the manger hasn't a clue and we're on a road to nowhere. I don't know if our reaction to poor performances is over the top or whether our belief after a good result is misplaced. For my part, I enjoyed the PSV home game and thought PSV were the better team but our second half performance showed some promise. I was prepared for PSV winning in Eindhoven but we got thrashed and I did not expect that. It seems to me we have a team to do well in the SPFL. They have space and possession and sometimes they can shine. Go into Europe and we see the reality. Maybe it lies with the manager, I don't know, but I am not looking forward to our European matches, regardless of who we get. I say that now, but come 21st September, no doubt I'll be raring to go. Let's hope so.
  21. I see the press are reporting that Hibs want Lennon and have sounded him out. If true, are Hibs crazy?
  22. PSV 0 - 1 Rangers FGS Dessers
  23. Good luck to Hagi. I hope he gets lots of game time and shows the Rangers management what he is capable of. I also hope that Hagi wants to come back.
  24. Seating them in the Club Deck is not practical. How would you segregate them coming into the ground. Also (as a Club Deck season ticket holder), I don't fancy having them behind me. In European games, there is a section within the Club Deck where they sit some away fans (I think it is those connected with the team, not the vocal fans). This works but we are talking civilised dignitaries not loons.
  25. He's seen fire and he's seen rain, so nothing should faze him at Ibrox.
