  1. Essentially he's suggesting the editing wasn't deliberate (as is James Cook who put the report together). He's just tweeted again to me to say: "Perhaps a genuine error brought on by pressure of time and lack of available pictures?" The evidence clearly shows otherwise - especially when you add in Cook's comments which come immediately after the edit which infer McCoist wasn't serious about the issue.
  2. Have had a good debate with Ewan Petrie (BBC producer) and STV senior reporter Gordon Chree about this subject on Twitter over the last 24 hours. Worth a look at my time-line.
  3. Thanks for the preview and I think your second team is most likely. Personally, I'd opt for the following and attempt to finish the tie tonight: :sw: :mb: :sp: :jmo: :sd: :me: :gw: :sn: :nj:
  4. Amazing what I'll do to avoid buying fellow admin a pint... Hiring baldy yob crowds isn't cheap you know.
  5. We were standing outside about then - pity you never seen my baldy napper!
  6. I'm always in the cheap seats mate - you know that! Won't be there tomorrow I'm afraid and was only in the club for a few mins on Saturday. Hope you all had (and have) a great time!
  7. Unfortunately, when you accuse people of being inconsistent (but don't name names) and then accuse 'everyone' of 'having a go' at you, then it's not a huge surprise that some posters may feel you're talking about them. Be a bit clearer and I'm sure the obsessions we see from some will decline.
  8. Football fans are often fickle and certainly inconsistent. That's natural given our club and players usually have the same flaws. Relax and don't feel so persecuted. I doubt a huge amount of posters are overly concerned about your perceived negativity - never mind everyone.
  9. I've never heard of him before but I don't pay a lot of attention to Italian football. Obviously his height will be his main virtue (and he seems to score plenty goals because of it) but I'm not so sure he'll be as valuable on the ball. I reckon he'll be more of a back-up player than first choice but we'll have to wait and see.
  10. Naismith did have a good start to the 2nd half but he fell right out of it after he scored unfortunately. I felt Edu and Davis played well for longer.
  11. Don't exaggerate. A few people may have disagreed with the negative reaction to our friendly defeats but that's what forums are about - healthy debate. We're all big boys here and I'm sure we can defend our opinions when we disagree without feeling sorry for ourselves. By all means post your diatribe, criticism or praise but spare us from the martyr stuff.
  12. Afraid not mate. STV now saying he will get permit first time because he only missed games through injury not non-selection.
  13. I doubt Goe will be able to play tomorrow night as his permit application will most likely only approved on appeal which takes 2-5 days.
  14. Why would you not want to provide opinion on a game now? The team can be discussed on a match-by-match basis surely?
  15. Rangers get off to slow start in season 2011/12 with home draw against Hearts. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=422:rangers-1-1-hearts-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 :sd: One of a few players who actually looked 'fired up and ready' like the new banners. Nods of approval for Edu and McGregor also.
  16. Jamie Murphy would be perfect.
  17. An excellent bit of writing mate as ever... We certainly missed our captain on Saturday and it's no coincidence that struggled defensively without him.
  18. Not a great result but Hearts played well and deserved their point. Was disappointed with the defence and Whittaker in particular who seemed disinterested at times. Davis, Edu and Naismith were our best outfield players while McGregor again showed his class. Another centre half and a creative player should ensure more positive results soonest!
  19. We need at least two centre-halves - especially if Bougherra is sold. We also need another creative player and/or winger as a priority.
  20. Quite frankly, the editing of that video is nothing less than outrageous and along with other footage used in their reports last week (and previously) with regard to this subject clearly shows mischief-making from BBC Scotland with regard to this issue. Why else would you edit a serious interview to suggest McCoist found the issue funny? Why else would you have regular stock footage for the sectarianism issue that shows Rangers fans singing such songs juxtaposed with Celtic fans walking with anti-racism banners? Don't the BBC have any footage of Celtic supporters singing offensive songs? The BBC are either unprofessional and inconsistent at best or biased at worst. Neither is good for an organisation that should be neutral above all else. It's not before time Rangers FC exposed this.
  21. Guy certainly lacked a bit of sharpness and seemed surprised at the physical nature of the game at times. However, his first touch was good, his work-rate excellent and he improved after half-time. Plenty more to come so I won't be writing him off yet.
  22. Location isn't great I agree but the section was superb - even if we had a few logistical problems.
  23. I was quite surprised that comment wasn't edited actually... Seriously, STV are doing a great job of working with the unofficial sites and it's good to help them out from time to time. [/MOONLIGHTING]
