    Don't disagree mate but while we want more quality this year, as it stands, we also need quantity so every player we're linked with (and the club itself have mentioned most these guys) it's frustrating when we lose out. Meanwhile, we can't agree new deals with existing players which is also disappointing. We need some positive news but, like you say, we don't want to rush into signing someone just for the sake of it.

    A bit of both I'm sure. Salmondis stubborn but he's not stupid. Now we have to ensure the Bill is re-written properly.

    First Minister is delaying new Bill until the end of the year! A victory for common sense!

    David McLetchie MSP making strong representations against the support of the IRA in today's Parliament debate. Scottish Conservatives also to offer amendment to new Bill to clarify support for the IRA is illegal as well as requesting delay in Bill progress.

    All reasonable ideas but they will require solid investment to make them work - both financially and logistically. Obviously our financial circumstances haven't changed a huge amount despite the takeover but I am hoping new blood such as Russell will provide the imagination and ambition that was lacking under the previous owner.

    David Martin doesn't seem to know his own fans via the Assembly have made a submission to the Justice Committee. An opportunity for the club to back up the viewpoints of the support missed. Disappointing.

    All football reps will now submit together along with the Lord Advocate.

    Equality Network and Church of Scotland discussion finished. Reps from the SPL, SFA, Rangers and Celtic to follow. David Martin (Head of Security) will be representing Rangers. Not sure if all four football guys will submit together or separately.

    Apparently Craig Conway (and possibly Danny Wilson) may be on their way to Cardiff - not Rangers.

    Three hours of debate then which can be summed up thus: 1. No-one present other than Rosanna Cunningham MSP wants this legislation to go through in this expedited manner. 2. Despite input from the Law Society and academics; there appears to be a distinct lack of clarity and understanding of the new legislation. Therefore, while I'm sure most of us want to see the issue of sectarianism dealt with effectively, this rushed Bill seems to be adding to the confusion - not removing it. Poor show indeed.
