  1. Another couple of observations is that the new chairman is going to fully brief the supporters regarding the status-quo at the club AGM and it seems they've acted pretty strongly on the JJB deal. Also interesting was that they claim Carling are interested in continuing their relationship with the club but, as expected, their shirt sponsorship won't be renewed next summer. No mention of Umbro which puzzles me.
  2. Depends on how one can finance it. If it is interest free as was the bunnet's scheme; then the take-up might well be possible...
  3. Any time over the next few hours Ian...
  4. Nope, no surprise whatsoever...
  5. Yeah, I'm just taking it for granted right now as money in the bank so to speak... A couple of wins against Stuttgart and Seville would add another £1million!
  6. Not sure but I doubt it would have been before 30th June...
  7. Remember these figures from from June 2008 until June 30th, 2009; so this year's CL run and associated monies are not included. As such, 'current' figure could be closer to £20-25million...
  8. Full report here... http://www.rangers.co.uk/annualreport
  9. http://www.plusmarketsgroup.com/PLUS_news_story.shtml?NewsID=958171&ISIN=GB0007237380/GBX/PLUS-exn Net debt of £31.1million
  10. Yeah, doubt it is Lewis after him getting his hands burnt with us a number of years ago then with Bear Stearns more recently...
  11. Sounds not too dissimilar to what the bunnet did at Celtic.
  12. You old cynic you!
  13. Posted yesterday mate...
  14. The one interesting thing for me is that Simon Bain is a finance reporter for The Herald which perhaps lends a bit more weight to his claims. Wonder who the billionaire is...?
  15. Why would Edmiston House be important given the club don't own it anymore? Is the new owner considering some sort of investment in the land there? I wouldn't mind any new owner selling MP as long as a new version was built off part of the proceeds...
  16. Interesting but the article author seems to contradict himself with the last sentence...
  17. Now on the main site with funky CammyF graphic... http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=149 Remember we're always looking for articles and writers for the main site folks. The existing standard is pretty good (even if I say so myself) so if you think you'd like to add your name to the site and get your own funky graphic (as well as entry to our private writers' forum), please give me a shout!
  18. Excellent - great to see the CammyF rant back! Will also upload this to the main site tomorrow!
  19. PS: I'll put this online tomorrow...
  20. Good article mate of which most I largely agree with... The McCoist issue is an interesting one. I do think he spoke out too early and there does seem to be a culture at the club of condemn first; find out facts later. At the same time though, would we rather we denied there were some idiots obviously involved in the Manchester and Bucharest incidents? That would only make us look worse IMO. However, I do think we could box a bit clever on the media/PR issue as a whole to ensure the club and supporters are defended first and foremost.
  21. Not at all - cheers Cammy...
  22. 1. Financial figures for year end June 30th 2009: ~£30million debt expected 2. UEFA punishment: £40K fine rumoured. 3. EPL2 meeting: Two-tier proposals featuring Old Firm to be discussed. Should be an interesting day. I know Bluedell is sharpening his article pencil as we speak...
  23. Ends pretty well IMO mate... Getting a nice headline and closing comment is always the hardest part about writing stuff for the wires. Good fun all the same! Thanks for your efforts!
  24. I know what class Spiers is a member of...
