  1. Quicker he leaves the better from a financial perspective.... Thanks for the info Pete.
  2. Furthermore, the initial deal may have had performance related clauses inserted to ensure Setanta were allowed first option at an agreed rate. The good news is that we make more money while the station is apparently losing lots of Rangers fans as customers.
  3. I think it's vital for the integrity of the Trust that they ensure they're working within SD rules. Genuine honest mistakes and oversights can happen so hopefully the board will address the issues contained in the opening post.
  4. http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s2&newsid=6274&back=home Good news I guess but not enough of the pot will address the financial challenges we face nowadays.
  5. I'm pretty sure we'll know more in due course. SDM shouldn't have given a date when pushed about releasing more info as these things can take time. But I agree with the original article in a general sense. If we're going to do this, then it should be done so to improve the stadium and help ensure the infrastructure is there for the next era in our history. In addition, all plans should be open so every fan can have their say on them.
  6. Absolutely disgraceful. If the people who caused the trouble were rightly arrested and charged, then so should the police person responsible for this unprovoked attack.
  7. Business at the meeting certainly seems a bit sparse to say the least. Given the request put to the membership for questions, I'm surprised so little was put forward on their behalf. I guess a fuller report on the meeting may be made available at the SGM a week tomorrow.
  8. For some strange reason they are using this email address for questions just now apparently: rangerssupporterstrust@googlemail.com
  9. AM signs new 5 year deal! http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~1335007,00.html
  10. Far too much white and too light a blue colour for me... If we were to go with Adidas I'd base it on the new Chelsea template:

The issue really is a one way street when it comes to the coverage and punishment of so called 'Unacceptable Conduct'... The whole thing is a sham - led by self-serving politicians who couldn't actually care less about the subject.
  12. PA of -9 apparently...
  13. Nike own Umbro now... Also, the Umbro deals runs out after this season IIRC.
  14. Welcome to Gersnet, Mr Tarbuck....
  15. Must admit I don't have a clue how we're going to play next season. I think it's pretty obvious we're still short of a few players while others will go. As such, we can't really make an informed judgement until August.
  16. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/08/06/26/manual_103242.html&TEAMHD=soccer Certainly sounds like an interesting signing given the quality of the teams also apparently previously interested.
  17. An interesting topic that will always provoke much debate. In today's SPL climate, finance is king - especially when one considers the often unrealistic expectations of some fans. There's no doubt the JJB deal provides financial security for the club and the money is vital in terms of of our bank balance each year. However, as you touch on, we should be pressurising JJB to ensure they still provide a decent service for our supporters to use. I found it incredible that around the time of the UEFA Cup final, you could not buy an adult Rangers strip anywhere. Obviously we don't know the ins and outs of the deal but if you think of the companies involved in it - Rangers, JJB, Umbro and Carling/Coors - then I'm surprised any problems have not be ironed out before now. Before the JJB deal we were making around the same money from our retail arm but I believe there was/is future risk with regard to that market (Walmart?) collapsing. Add in increased overheads for all businesses right now, we've probably gained more than we see on the face of it. Time will tell whether the deal was successful but initially at least it seems satisfactory enough.
  18. Thank goodness there was a decline and fall of classical studies before I attended high school....
  19. Different levels of everything when it comes to the murky underworld my friend...
  20. I think Alexander would improve with more experience of playing for Rangers. Much like McGregor has done in the last 2 years or so... Thus if we're getting around £8million for AM, I'd be quite happy to accept it actually - as long as the funds are invested back into other areas of the team.

Well said TB... I concur with that...
  22. Not sure how true the links you mention are true - I have heard them from several different people so they may have merit. If they are true, you'd think that a certain near billionaire businessman with several high net worth associates of vintage dealings repute would be able to sort this out. :box: :box: :uzi:
  23. Cuellar has already said he won't move to an EPL provincial club. Hopefully we can keep him here unless a really big team comes calling with serious money.
  24. I guess they Liverpool team bus will arrive 90mins-2 hours before kick off. As such, I'd make sure you're around the front door in that time period. Unfortunately, when team buses arrive, usually it's impossible to communicate with the players as they're surrounded by police and head straight into the stadium foyer. After the game may give you a better chance of photos.
  25. I like it. Nice and simple!
