  2. It's a great idea. I've been very busy lately with work and personal commitments so haven't been able to write stuff or upload the excellent submissions from Pete/Cammy etc. Would be great for more people to write for the main site. We have loads of great talent on here and everyone is capable of writing good stuff. Collating it and giving examples of typical forum threads/replies may attract more people actually into the forum.
  3. Novo or Adam seem our best penalty taker. Ferguson and Boyd have both missed them in the past. Must admit I wouldn't be confident with us winning in such a situation.
  4. Belong is carling's current advert strap-line
  5. ...this is what the new Rangers shirt could look like next season... Not too bad actually if they take the red out of it...
  6. McCulloch is fit for tonight and hopefully Sunday... We'll be fine...
  7. The Gersnet Archive has some relevant info which may help mate... - Archibald Leitch - 'Engineering Archie': The Designer of Ibrox http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=546&Itemid=31 - Recommended Reading and Bibliography http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=523&Itemid=31 I'd also recommend you nearest larger library (Edinburgh or Glasgow) where old photos and some of the books above may be available. I'd also contact the official Rangers historian (David Mason) for his input.
  8. Excellent - my colleague will contact you in due course mate...
  9. http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/rstsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=183&Itemid=1 This Sunday sees Rangers given the chance to win their first silverware of the season as they take on Dundee Utd in the CIS Cup Final. With the game already a sell out, the RST has managed to get hold of a pair of tickets for the game which can be won by new (or exisiting) members of our exciting Rangers Lotto agency. Join the Trust agency before Friday evening at 9pm and you'll be in with a chance of winning the tickets! As the RST are sponsors of Rangers Youth Development, and have joined forces with Rangers Lotto on a few different projects over the last 12 months, we at the RST have decided to further build our own Rangers Lotto agency. The cost can be from as little as £1 per week that would be paid by direct debit directly from your bank account. For your £1 you have a chance to win a weekly prize of £9,000 plus numerous smaller prizes. The RST will benefit to the tune of 12.5% commission for being the Rangers Lotto agent & Rangers Lotto will benefit by being able to further support Rangers Youth Development, as 100% of their profit goes directly to supporting our youth teams. All you have to do is send Scott ( scottrst@hotmail.co.uk ) your name & address and he will get the forms sent out to you. Once you receive them fill in your details and return the form in the prepaid envelope. The winners will be contacted before Sunday's game with information on how they can pick up the tickets. Good luck!
  10. How about 12 games unbeaten for a reason?
  11. craig: I can see your point actually but in some ways the rules for this kind of coverage have already been made. Yes, in an ideal world, it would be great to concentrate on Rangers only (in a positive sense) but that can mean statements are bland and won't be picked up by the media. Fact is - even if the media do run with it (unlikely given the positive RFC nature of the message) the would edit out the negative stuff anyway. Moreover, many elements in the media have already made up their minds on what we're about so a subtle dig won't change their contempt. It's all part of the game and why shouldn't we take the moral high ground given the opportunity. No-one else lets us.
  12. I can imagine the comments on the Celtic forums...
  13. http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/rstsite/index.php The RST would like to express its pride in the Rangers Support. Despite a run of games which have not been on the season ticket, Ibrox was again full for a match which was live on terrestrial television. Indeed, last night Ibrox hosted the largest crowd in European competition. Rangers also continue to have the biggest and most vociferous away support in Scotland, and our fans are without a doubt the biggest financial benefactors to the game in this country. While other supports may seek praise and indulge in love fests with just about everyone they play, the Rangers support endures press hostility and poor treatment to follow follow their team. The RST salutes them, and we are proud to sit alongside them. We truly are the People
  14. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=610&Itemid=1 Difficult to pick a MoM tonight but I think I'll go for Kirk Broadfoot...
  15. Mate, there are certainly a few 'Rangers friendly' journos but none of them (or their editiors) have the courage or honesty to tell the truth often enough... We were widely pilloried for leaving litter and taking a p!ss in the absence of alternatives. Celtic have had 60 fans fined for drinking/soliciting whores and at least 2 fans arrested for assaulting cabbies and policemen yet only one small part of the Sun mentions it. A disgrace.
  16. Isn't it amazing that we feel the need to highlight an objective, balanced article in the face of so many poorly constructed, agenda-ridden tripe from the usual suspects...?
  17. Let's hope he scores a toe-poked screamer tonight... Well done Fergie - the stage couldn't be set better for one of your dominating midfield master-classes.
  18. I don't think I've ever hoped more strongly for us to win the title (and hopefully more). The reaction from these guys will be so good to watch.

    UEFA Cup

As much as we've improved over the last year I'm not sure we have the overall quality to be able to challenge for this trophy. I'd love to be proved wrong and want to stay in the competition as long as possible but I think the SPL rightly takes priority. Once again the number of chances we create tonight will depend on who plays in the wider roles of the midfield 5 and whoever is selected will need to get forward to support Cousin whilst not negating their defensive duties. Will be interesting to see who will play in the centre as well with Hemdani, Thomson and dailly all vying for the holding role. Wouldn't surprise me to see Davis play wide right allowing Thomson or Hemdani to come in with Dailly man-marking Diego. Bremen are a decent side, doing well domestically with a few good results in the CL earlier this season. Certainly a side genuinely capable of winning the competition. However, as much as they are dangerous on the attack, they're also capable of conceding goals so this should be quite an interesting game with the chance of a fair few goals. As usual, if we play to our strengths and if we take the chances that should come our way, there's no reason why we can't get a positive result to take to Germany.
  20. really is tedious mate... Can't remember them moaning about officials over the last 2 years. You'd think if we had officials in our back-pocket we'd have one something during this time...
  21. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=608&Itemid=1 Davis for me...
  22. Delighted to hear this... Cousin has done pretty well this season and while we've still won games in his absence his quality will be needed right until the last game.
  23. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=606&Itemid=1 Barry Ferguson for me... :drink:
