  1. Good man Jon... I think there were a few small problems last night at the game but this was minimal so I'm sure UEFA appreciate that as well as how much we've managed to reduce and pretty much eradicate the offensive stuff.
  2. Ferguson played against Everton (and Gravesen) twice during his injury plagued 2 years in England and was unbeaten in both. First game was a 2-1 Blackburn win with Ferguson "again man-of-the-match", setting up the first goal. http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/pa...~22665,00.html The 2nd game was closer and was a 0-0 draw. However, the Blackburn match report indicates "Rovers were easily the better of the two sides creating the better chances, Nigel Martyn being the busier of the two goalkeepers." Barry Ferguson having 2 good shots well saved. http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/pa...~27954,00.html All in all, I can't see the Rangers captain having too many sleepless nights ahead of his clash with Gravesen. Considering his performance last night, the only person with nightmares will be the man upsetting a few Celtic players with his £45K per week pay packet (plus bonuses). Bring it on!
  3. Can't see Hemdani being dropped... More likely to be one of the wingers (most probably Sionko) replayed by Ferguson. As such I think we'll go with: _____________________McGregor___________________ Bardsley_____Svensson____________J-Rod_______Smith ___________Hemdani____________Clement___________ Burke________________Ferguson________________Prso ______________________Boyd______________________
  4. Yes, but we can now contribute to the soon to be relaunched 'GerSave' scheme which will be hugely important in terms of the fans being more involved with the club and in the discussions with any new owner(s).
  5. Sorry Fraser that's just not true... Yes, he has put in a decent amount of money (including underwriting the 2005 share issue) but he will get that money back and more when he does leave. The fans have put in more money than David Murray by a long, long way which makes the inaction from Murray with regard to defending the club and it's fans even more grating for us.
  6. Not sure about McGregor - just don't have any confidence in him. In the last couple of games he's done OK but he doesn't seem commanding enough to be the Rangers #1. However, he's been reasonably loyal over the years and arguably deserves his chance. It's possibly a moot point though as he's already been transfer listed at his own request and PLG says Letizi is his number one GK.
  7. I can agree with that mate. The guy is a bare-faced liar is some ways. But I can assure you 100% that Rangers FC are for sale and if anything DM won't even be here next season.
  8. Mate, he's already said the club is for sale and in that regard he won't be here more than 3 years IMO.
  9. If you don't believe 'Mr Murray' has made money from Rangers FC then you are even more naiive than I though, Dunn. Can I ask you where exactly we (the club) are today? Are we any better off than when Murray took control in 1989 after buying the club for £6million the previous year? Be honest. Murray deserves a lot of credit for helping deliver 9iar. His undoubted business acumen and unmatched charisma also helped secure signings such as Gascoigne and Laudrup. We also have the chairman to thank for improving the stadium further and our training centre. For these positive contributions I hope he is rightly remembered in a positive fashion. But he didn't deliver then alone - if it wasn't for OUR money it wouldn't have happened. What also shouldn't be confused here is the negative part of his tenure. Various parts of the club (from the car park, to the retail, to the catering) have been sold off in distasteful fashions sometimes to his own external companies. Indeed, making him and his companies a lot of money in the process. More importantly we lost a huge march on Celtic who in the early-mid 90s almost went bankrupt and were languishing behind us in 4th place in the SPL and with a decrepit stadium. Now, they have 10,000 extra seats than us and their board apparently more ambitious in their pursuit of European consistency. Add to that Murray's dreadful media stance and his cave in to UEFA (and our other enemies) his recent years certainly don't match his initial successes. David Murray will always be remembered by Rangers fans. However, his chairmanship will be the source of many arguments between bears and it's arguably not one that anyone can win right now. He has got the club back towards a more even keel financially by being prudent so some (as I will) will refrain from making premature judgements either way. With a bit of luck that will ensure we can gain our rightful place back as Scotland's most successful club side in the next few years and beyond. However, to say we are in a position that is worth admiring isn't quite the full story and a very empirical statement to make. In time, Murray's reign will be able to be judged better. If he can finish it how he started, then he might be judged a success. However, if it continues in the same inconsistent and impotent manner as it has in the last 5 years then his admirers may just be a lot fewer than some would care to admit. At the minute I'd argue no-one is right when they try to judge DM. As such, I think we'd all be better served keeping an open mind on the matter until he does go. Then we can weigh up all the positives/negatives as well as decide if he has sold the club to a person(s) suitable for our great club.
  10. David Murray will sell to the highest bidder. There won't be many bidders anyway so we've got to hope that whoever does buy wants to run the club well and with ambition. This might not happen tomorrow or next week but I'll give DM 2 years max at the club from now. As such, we all need to prepare for the next owner. The best way to try and ensure we are involved in the appointment and in the running of the club afterwards is to join the RST (and it's ShareSave scheme).
  11. I think they should have told you a week before they changed the agreed giving you a chance to decline the payment. But it will be in the T&C's saying prices may change and they reserve the right to do so as long as they inform you at the earliest possible opportunity.
  12. To be fair it wasn't the most exciting game in the world and considering you've not been out much lately, one has to take the opportunity to fuel up ahead of an evening with 'er indoors...
  13. Aye I thought it was terrible Barry and my 2 mates leaving... I stayed to the end though as I can control my alcohol urges unlike the other cider maniacs... Never though bmck would be in the Subway Loyal...
  14. We started so slowly today. Seemed right off the pace. Frown However, we still managed to get an early goal through Bardsley's excellent strike. After that we grew in confidence and strength and started to play some nice football. Clement, Burke and Hemdani all came into the game and it was a great run and cross from the latter that set up an easy finish for Prso. The 2nd half we again started slowly but a great pass from the returning Ferguson resulted in a clear cut penalty and red card no more action from the ref. Fine finish from what was a subdued Boyd. 4th goal was the pick of the bunch. A smashing run from Buffel and an explosive finish from a guy who couldn't score in a brothel in the early games. After that both Sebo (deployed wide right again) and Boyd wasted good opportunities to score more. Man of the match was Bardsley who really was solid at the back. Thought big Svensson played very well and he made 2 crucial tackles in the 2nd half - still needs to improve in the air though. Midfield were strong as usual and Prso had a superb shift up front once more. It really is exciting to have so many options and if he can improve in the air at the back then we'll be very hard to beat this season. Some of our football is superb at times but we can fall out of games and/or lack urgency as well which needs to be sorted. However, having so many younger players means inconsistency is likely so it will be good to bring in experienced players if required. A tough month ahead but off to a solid start and it really is like night and day from last season's awful fare. (PS: Visit the new wee Rangers club if you get a chance. Mo Ross and his business partner Victor have done a great job of doing the place up and it was a good laugh for a few hours before the game.) (PPS: Bill Struth = legend!)
  15. Frankie

    Its official

    Looks great...
  16. Supposedly a fine young midfielder. Killie were gutted to lose him from us in the summer for a nominal fee.
  17. No, it will stay up for another month or so...
  18. He certainly has a short memory. So far a few results may have been disappointing but we have been playing better football this season than anytime in the last 4 years. Once we start to take our chances and once the new defence develops an undertstanding, the initial panic from folk like Dunn will soon subside. Lots to look forward to. Just don't expect it to happen overnight.
  19. Yeah, wee Novo might still get the odd game but he's clearly a player who thrives on confidence and not getting a regular game will mean he won't improve. I'm also a bit disappointed by our lack of depth in central defence but I;d rather be like this than waste £30K per week on the likes of another Fanfan and Bernard.
  20. Novo hasn't been paid off. He's a player we can get a fee for so I doubt we'll free him.
  21. Dunn - calm down. You've not even seen Papac play yet and well all know Malcolm, Andrews and Fanfan were not good enough. Let's wait a wee bit longer than the end of August before making judgements on players and management.
  22. Welcome aboard mate...
  23. Exactly nokiss...
  24. How can you form opinions when you're snoring loudly, ian?
  25. As I said yesterday, if people post crap threads without genuine sources then theybwill be closed. Kris Boyd is currently training with the Scotland team and has just signed a new contract extension with Rangers. He won't be going anywhere.
