  1. Yes, but turnover is also down nearly £7million... Bad news and shows just how vital 2nd place is this season.
  2. Mate, That's the player history thing uploaded to the new site... http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=31 Can you make sure you keep all your updated players to one table so I can change them easily rather than going through the whole lot? Cheers
  3. Once these tickets are gone then the the shutters are down so please please book soon if you do not want to miss out. This is not a cheap shot at selling tickets as once these tickets go then that is us at the 450 mark. Tickets can be ordered online via the RST website. Dinner is 24th March. http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/tickets.html Would be good to see some Gersnet folk coming along. Let me know by pm if you'd like to go and I'll make sure you get some tickets. Will be at least one Gers legend at my table.
  4. soccerbase.com mate Or the excellent file available at rangersmedia.com ANyway, this is the kind of thing gisabeer is talking about. Like he says, it would be great to update it. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=24
  5. Gersnet Hall of Fame Every month, we will have a forum vote for a Rangers player to be indicted into this part of the site. That will enable us to build up a section of great players (past and present) for the archive.
  6. We'll also have a Man of the match poll after every game and I'll sort it with the club so we can present the winning player at the end of the season.
  7. Right guys: The new site is taking shape and is looking pretty damn funky already. I'm hoping we'll have our Newsnow access working again by the end of this week, so I'd like as many articles in as possible please. - Gribz is going to do pre-match previews. - I'll do post match reviews. So what we need is extra articles just chewing the fat about the club generally. Please send them to myself or bmck by pm and we will edit them and give suitable feedback before uploading. Once we have a set few guys doing this, I can give you access to the Joomla and you can upload stuff yourself. ready-steady-go!
  8. Hopefully... I need to check how easy it will be for me to give people accessto the admin panel though. Will check and then ask for help if possible. The Archive section I will definitely be opening up soon.
  9. The main template is almost complete. I've added so far: - Home page - consisting of new news stories/articles - News Page - archiving above - First Team Squad - Stefan Klos added - Reserve/Youth Squad - Staff - Ibrox Stadium Info - The Rangers Archive - The Rangers Story - In the Beginning Added Now, obviously, we need people to help pad these sections out. Particularly the Archive section. With the Stefan Klos page, one can see what needs done for each player. I'd like this done for every first team/reserve/youth player and staff if possible. Then we just need to start releasing news stories and Gersnet Analysis again. I've changed our Newsnow details so that will take a few days to ake effect. During that time we can try and get the site as completed as possible. Will also be adding downloads section ie: pictures/videos/etc
  10. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/ Guys this is what the site is going to look like. Obviously, it's not open yet and it's still pretty much a shell but it's getting there.
  11. It's an informal Trust evening on the night of the AC Milan v Celtic match. Just a bit of fun really. http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?t=221026 Unfortunately, I can't make it.
  12. Glad to see some feedback. I'll speak to George and Mark about advertising in the fanzines. They might do it as I'm sure I can repay them with some design help. Barry and I will get the new site shell on the go in the next couple of days then we can see about who fancies helping out. What has happened with the domain name is a right shame but I know it was beyond our control. Most domain suppliers automatically continue with payments unless you ask them to cancel. Because the Gersnet name has been so popular Stuart was done both times. It won't happen again. That's why we're so eager to start from scratch and considering the dearth of good Rangers sites out there - there is a gap in the market.
  13. Agree with Mike here. It is exciting when Burke gets on the ball but his final ball and decision making are still not good enough. He has to work on both to consider himself a first pick.
  14. Guys, Obviously with the unfortunate downtime of the New Year, we once again find ourselves in a position of low contribution from only regular members. To keep Gersnet going we need to try and submit as many ideas as possible in order to maximise interest. To that end, in the next week or so, bmck and I will be creating a new Gersnet Online website. This will be a project which all members can contribute to but we will need specific helpers. We'll be using a content management system similar to the new RST website. That means after we get the initial template and content uploaded, we'll need to keep it fresh and worth visiting for every online bear. That's where you come in. I will write as many Gersnet Analysis as I can but it would be great to get some help. Every poster on here is capable of writing similar stuff and contributing to the debate. As such, it would be cool to have contributors with specific duties and responsibilities for the site, eg: 1. First team news/stats 2. Reserve/Youth team news/stats 3. Match Previews 4. Match Reviews/Stats 5. General Discussion/Articles With the new site, NO HTML knowledge is required. Articles/News/Info can be submitted easily and without input from any admin other than to maybe proof read for spelling/grammar mistakes. Obviously, the best stuff can also be uploaded to Newsnow and everything can be discussed on the forums as per usual to stimulate debate. I'd love to hear everybody's thoughts on the project - specifically is this worth the time to do and would we have people interested in contributing regularly to it?
  15. Was a wee bit ill yesterday so didn't see the game at the usual time - taped it and watched later on. Shame that as usual we're talking about appalling refereeing. Since the Setanta coverage is 'interesting' I thought I'd give a bluenose view. 1. Our first penalty was very soft but Ford did touch the man before the ball. No penalty though IMO. 2. Ferguson offside? I can only assume the linesman though Ehiogh scored the goal as Ferguson was not even close. Goal should have stood. 3. Killie penalty. Well I thought it was the kind of challenge you see in every game. Indeed, Naismith did exactly the same 30 seconds before on Hutton to no foul by the ref. Hutton was a bit daft but if that was a foul we'll start seeing a lot around byelines now. I'll say 50/50 on that decision. 4. Rangers 2nd penalty. Wasn't a shoulder charge as that kind of challenge is shoulder-to-shoulder only. That challenge wasn't. It was Fowler's shoulder to Novo's back and Novo has already knocked the ball past the player. 5. Killie goal. I thought it was a foul as Naismith's arm was up high and caused McGregor to not connect properly with the punch. No goal IMO. 6. The stop play question. Well, I couldn't understand the 'neutrals' in the commentary. Killie themselves played on (they did the same in the first half) so they couldn't complain when he also played on. Referee should have stopped play at half-way though. All in all, I though we deserved to win but the game would probably have been a lot closer if the officials did their job. It's the same every week and although some decisions can be explained, so many mistakes in one match should mean questions are asked by supposed high level officials.
  16. As much as I canb't be bothered with Buffel that is bad news for a number of reasons...
  17. Good work guys...
  18. Right enough. Seen him in Buchanan Galleries on Tuesday evening.
  19. Both will be fine Jon... A new Gersnet main site will also be up and running by next week where everyone can contribute to it's content.
  20. Yep, go for it... Going to get something else going in the next couple of weeks to try and get the place buzzing again. Just been really, really busy lately with other stuff so just haven't had the time.
  21. After Murray we're a bit short though. I suppose that's the gamble.
  22. There will be 25,000 Union flags and 25,000 Saltires...
  23. Hutton did start and Alex Smith said he was outstanding...
  24. Yeah, I heard last week he was struggling for the rest of the season. Shame as he's a great wee player. In saying that, I thought Ian Murray was superb against Hearts the other week so let's hope he benefits from this.
  25. It's supposed to snow this weekend... Strange the waited so long but I'm sure there is a reason for it.
