  1. Supposedly a fine young midfielder. Killie were gutted to lose him from us in the summer for a nominal fee.
  2. No, it will stay up for another month or so...
  3. He certainly has a short memory. So far a few results may have been disappointing but we have been playing better football this season than anytime in the last 4 years. Once we start to take our chances and once the new defence develops an undertstanding, the initial panic from folk like Dunn will soon subside. Lots to look forward to. Just don't expect it to happen overnight.
  4. Yeah, wee Novo might still get the odd game but he's clearly a player who thrives on confidence and not getting a regular game will mean he won't improve. I'm also a bit disappointed by our lack of depth in central defence but I;d rather be like this than waste £30K per week on the likes of another Fanfan and Bernard.
  5. Novo hasn't been paid off. He's a player we can get a fee for so I doubt we'll free him.
  6. Dunn - calm down. You've not even seen Papac play yet and well all know Malcolm, Andrews and Fanfan were not good enough. Let's wait a wee bit longer than the end of August before making judgements on players and management.
  7. Welcome aboard mate...
  8. Exactly nokiss...
  9. How can you form opinions when you're snoring loudly, ian?
  10. As I said yesterday, if people post crap threads without genuine sources then theybwill be closed. Kris Boyd is currently training with the Scotland team and has just signed a new contract extension with Rangers. He won't be going anywhere.
  11. This story isn't true in the slightest. If people are going to post daft rumours, name a source/link or the thread will be closed.
  12. Nice one...
  13. Just you guys buy you what you deem best. You have done all the hard work, so you decide. A decent holdall for the new flag sounds ideal.
  14. We certainly need another centre half to give us depth and competition in that area. We must move on the wasters though if we're to spend another few million (which in itself is unlikely).
  15. I did stutter a few times. But it's not easy when one hasn't been on the radio before or has no idea of what questions will be put to you. And I'm certainly not wee...
  16. If you go forward 5 mins from the very start then it will take you right to my call... Have just been on BBC Radio Ulster as well.
  17. RE: Boruc incident... You can listen to me via the BBC Radio Scotland Listen Again feature.... It was the Morning Extra programme. http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotland/
  18. Totally correct Gribz... The OTT criticism in some places is laughable. Another decent footballing performance but once again a lack of clinical finishing from some players means we drop 2 crucial points. In the main, most of the players did pretty well. Have to say I don't feel the same sense of disappointment as I did last season when we dropped points. For the most part we look pretty good and I actually thought we did OK at the back. Unfortunately, we do seem to panic under pressure and once again we lose a goal because of a goalkeeping error. However, points make prizes. It's funny the criticism aimed at Hutton. I thought he had a decent game. I rate Smith highly but both goals came from Killie play down his side (the first corner for the first goal and the second goal). The first goal was also a dreaful mistake by the goalie. Yet no criticism for them? It's all Hutton's fault who had another decent game and could do nothing at the penalty. In the first 5 games of the season we've played the best football (apart from the Pars game) than I've seen since the 2002/03 season. Yes, the results have been poor but it's a new manager, a new team and a new system. Have faith and stop being so childishly fickle, FFS.
  19. Good and funny post... Fat Eck can write some decent stuff when he wants. A slight return to form.
  20. Pete we are getting our bed in order. Our fans have been superb this season and our alleged offensive songs and chants have disappeared home and away going by the last few games. Can you say the same for Celtic, their fans and even their senior players of late? No. Which is why I'm making the point of loss. No-one is winning here while one party are being villified and the other party getting off scot-free. We gave in and we're fixing our problems. And we're still the offenders.
  21. I'm not saying Rangers fans are losing but football fans and society generally. The sectarian issue is not one which should be ignored by anyone but the saturation of it in the media and politics is holiding back our national game and the real problems in society are being pushed to the side.
  22. http://www.gersnet.info/fmrangers/newmain/250806.html Let me tell you a bedtime story.... A few months ago a group of Celtic fans aided by their 'useful idiot' in the media, a sprinkling of Celtic-minded MPs and a couple of on-message academics decided to make an issue of a song sung by Rangers fans - specifically one word - which while not literally offensive was argued by the group to offend them and be unacceptable. That group of fans actually contacted their club and one person within that club who they thought would sympathise with their position. Surprisingly, firstly to them and to their supporters, the club warned them that nothing positive would come of their complaints. They told them while the problem was unsavoury it was only a mirror image of Celtic's similar problems with certain terms and songs. As such, the club told the complaining group that although they might get a result initially; over the long term only damage would be done to all parties. Over the subsequent months the group made their complaints and obtained their victory. Rangers fans were villified, the club fined, the offending term and chant condemned by all and also importantly banned by UEFA according to their new laws concerning such songs. Nevertheless, their hypocrisy shines brighter than ever. '******' is offensive and sectarian but 'hun' or 'DOB' is just the craic. Songs about some issues are bigotted and unacceptable. Glorification of terrorist organisations are political and a rightful expression of the downtrodden rebel. Players mimicing flutes (to their own fans) are offensive and provocative while blessing one's self several times amongst other behaviour (in front of oppostion fans) is denying a catholic of their sporting beliefs. Players writing silly comments below their autograph is disgraceful and disgusting. PLayers calling opposition fans DOBs or shouting about the IRA just didn't happen OK... It sounds incedible doesn't it. Welcome to Scottish football. The place where banter and oneupmanship doesn't stop at football but goes right up the ladder to the very top. Politics, religion and law. All because of a wee white ball. And we wonder why we're so sh!t at the game? Unfortunately is the saturation of the sectarian issue by the media and the people who fake the moral outrage by reporting clubs and fans and players that is making the situation worse instead of better. The worst thing is the people who can really change things such as the media, the politicians and the footballing authorities are the ones throwing the dice in this game of chance. By doing so they are gambling not with their own petty agendas but with the future of our game. The stakes are high and we are losing. All of us.
  23. It is illegal when it could cause crowd trouble. The fact here is this - no player should be gesticulating towards opposition fans. It's as simple as that. I didn't see many people defending Gascoigne with his flute stunt. Indeed he was again fined a weeks wages by Rangers and condemned by all including the ludicrious statement by Provan about disrupting the peace process. Unfortunately is the saturation of the sectarian issue by the media and the people who fake the moral outrage by reporting clubs and fans and players that is making the situation worse instead of better.
  24. We draw Molde away fist leg...
  25. The 1st round draw is done in subgroups... We can draw any of the 5 unseeded teams I posted where we will play them over 2 legs.
