  1. so sad that it was around Thanksgiving, a holiday spent with close family...
  2. Also like to add that I think Windass and Morelos seem to have a good understanding of how each other play...
  3. As much as I like the idea of Potter, I think the board would see it as too much of a risk.... Personally, I think he should at least be a contender, but, looking at some of the names mentioned (all rumours I know), I don't think a risky hire is what the board/DoF is looking for.....
  4. I would be surprised if Alves doesn't return to the starting line up on Friday night
  5. If i'm honest, I wouldn't want to see Walter back in that kind of role, not because I don't think he could do it successfully as, I have no doubt he would steady the ship and transform the team, but, if anybody has earned a relaxing retirement, its him. He also went out at the top and I'd prefer it stayed that way
  6. Just realised how that was written, sounds impossible I play every Saturday but then the team also sometimes has matches on Wednesday evenings to make up for postponed matches from earlier in the season or cup matches....
  7. Am I missing something? Most teams play 8 games in 8 weeks don't they?! Even I play 9 or 10 Saturday 11-a-side games every 8 weeks.....
  8. Club perhaps think if they can poach McInnes just before the Aberdeen matches, it may throw Aberdeen into a bit of disarray before the double header with the hunt for a replacement / changes etc
  9. Doesn't say much when he's completely incapable of sending his own CV in.... Next time I apply for job i'll get my little girl to send my CV with a covering letter of 'Why you should hire my daddy'
  10. Always enjoy interviews with KT, will definitely have a look at it
  11. Phillips had a poor game, but at the same time, he is more a winger than a centre forward.. He has played as a striker a few times at club level but he is primarily a winger and a solid one at that(usually ).. I agree though, Cummings should have been on much earlier and Phillips moved to his more natural wing position
  12. One of the things that I think would go in DfB favour is that, at Ajax he was in charge of a team that was expected to control the games with the lion share of possession and basically win most games.... With Palace and the Inter Milan of recent years that was never going to be the way the games went. With Rangers, it would be similar to Ajax and could potentially suit his system / tactics etc. Thats another reason I don't see the point in looking at managers like Pardew and McLaren (if we ever were)..... They've never really been managers of clubs that are expected to control the match for 90 minutes every game.
  13. ^This^ I think we can see the difference having good man management skills and the respect of the squad can make just from the last 2 games... Add to that the experience that Murty perhaps doesn't have and we could still see this season being a big step back to the top.
  14. This is the sort of guy who would have been perfect when we started in League 2...
  15. hopefully will provide that extra bit of motivation for the double header coming up...

  17. Yep thats 'Highbury Stadium', home of Fleetwood Town, also the temporary home of Barry Ferguson in 2012
  18. There is only one aim when a player goes to the media and thats for the manager job to be put under scrutiny. Players know that when that happens there is usually only really one way it goes and tends to leads to rumours that dressing rooms are split when in reality, there is possibly only one player with a problem. I don't doubt actual dressing rooms splits are sometimes only created because of a media story of one that is non-existent.
  19. will be a big call and may be a small indicator of whats going on behind the scenes...
  20. He has got a very favourable run of games to get morale up before handing over to the new manager, but, as you say, he still has to do it..... a task that is easier said than done
  21. My thought was the red card was the correct decision for Jack, but I also believe Broadfoot was deserving of a red card. I think potentially the CO showed some, dare I say, common sense and rescinded the red for Jack purely because he couldn't upgrade Broadfoot's to a red and it wouldn't be fair for one to be punished and not the other..... Or, maybe i'm just giving the CO too much credit
  22. Scott Brown also can't spell his own name, let alone submit a squad...
  23. I like McCall, great player and a 'decent' manager, but anybody who thinks Nicky Law is a good player shouldn't be anywhere near the Ibrox dugout
