  1. this is the right attitude. there is much to pick apart in our current team, but success simply has to temper how far people are willing to go. we laugh at celtic fans for hating straching - the most succesful manager in their recent history - and we shouldn't want to do the same with walter. he has brought pros and cons, but the pros have involved us being back where we belong at the top.
  2. so a striker isn't daily's natural position then? and people who criticise smith for playing him there aren't being inconsistent?
  3. for me, if the concept of 'natural' is to be of any use at all, your natural position is the one you've played most often and at the highest level. you wouldn't say cricketing was andy goram's natural position.
  4. cant believe people want naismith gone, after getting no time or games to return from injury.
  5. so david murray was right and we should all say sorry for going nuts?
  6. i'd say if ally mccoist thinks that a first managerial spell at a club the size of rangers is a good move, he's probably not cut out to be a manager. you've got to get actual first person experience.
  7. some of the rumours are excellent. would love us to gain some fresh impetus in something like this though.
  8. did you see the "catholics are better at football" on the other side?
  9. you're just being harsh mate - they have it harder than us. 'e' and 'r' are right next to each other on the keyboard, that's how we manage it it's so great to be champions again.
  10. we should have an orange 'tango' cup final to celebrate. that would do their nut in.
  11. still think big changes are needed at the club; hopefully success and the rekindling of the passions will be a better catalyst than the despair and anger had we lost.
  12. his pain's poetry. drink in his bitterness. poor use of english, and preaches his liberal ideologue diatribes as though he were a sermon. he's so petty. it's great
  13. his samaras comment was telling; that was definitely discussed in the dressing room
  14. poor judgement, been punished, everyone gets on with their lives. how nice would that be.
  15. i agree ian, though the cumulative total of points denied that can be directly assigned to poor decisions is pretty shocking. but that's part of the game, and you've got to have enough in reserve to compensate for bad luck and incompetency if you want to win a league. i just hope they have it in them. i remember on the apprentice sir alan sugar used to go on about how he needed 'closers' to bring deals to conclusions. i get worried our teams lack of experience in winning leagues puts celtic in a better 'closers' position. you know strachan'll be saying 'ah they've never won a league, you're the champions - you wont be slipping up etc'. we just need to win, and try and score a few goals, to keep the pressure on them, because they are the poorest champions in recent history.
  16. i think we'll win. would be extremely suprising if the historical trend was broken. i do hope we play an attacking formation though.
  17. not much to 'study' by the looks of it, open and shut if it actually gets there. if i were the referee i wouldn't want to say that i'd seen it but chose to ignore it.
  18. that's assuming they can have real human feelings
  19. if he'd wore a confused mixture of pope and palestine he'd have got away with it.
  20. 1 - 0 us (maybe 1-1, ). can't see it being high scoring, can't see any team walking it. hopefully we can rise to the occassion and storm it. i'm just nervous.
  21. i hope there are people at the club whose job it is to keep this in the forefront of people's minds. the possibility of greatness is really what you want to be motivating your players.
  22. this has always puzzled me. do you think it's just ibrox this happens at?
  23. that one stuck out for me too. wonder what he means. eta: scrap that, read johnny's post. he must mean that reserves are for getting first team players fit. you think, though, that the chance to keep against teams at a higher level would get more of the youngsters playing there more quickly.
  24. what division is he playing in?
  25. to be fair to celtic, ignoring the paper shit-stirring, they're only asking for an explanation as to how the fixtures get drawn up. it seems quite baffling. i'd quite like to know myself.
