So some fans booed the taking of the knee. Big deal. you'd think by the hysterical reaction that they'd been sacrificing panda cubs in the stands. All this fuss seems to be saying "don't you dare express your opinion, your opinion counts for shit and we'll tell you what to think or do". Whether you agree with those Millwall fans or not, the sneering indignation I've seen this week is way over the top. Upsetting someone's "feelings" seems to be upsides with rape and torture these days. In my world, "feelings" were something we developed resilience to cope with. Now we're going to see some footballers walk off the park to demonstrate how precious they are. And it's all about saying "we'll decide what you say and we'll decide when you say it". I don't care whether they're black or white arseholes but this isn't right by any measure.

Believe me if I thought for a minute there was a connection, I’d be taking a knee before every game too ?

I think ASIL takes the view that issues like this are merely excuses to flex his 20th century socialist dogma and of little real interest in themselves. Anyone who knows anything about the sub prime crash also knows it has bugger all to do with race.

Why don't you stop being such a tease and just tell me what it says ?

No, it's a Community Interest Company

Which inexactly why this organisation is clearly not ready to hold the responsibility it wants.

That took me back. I wasn't allowed to go to the game but I remember clearly my older brothers setting off and the excitement of cup final day. Dundee certainly were a really good team at that time
-
I couldn't believe he meant that. I still can't. But if it was a mistake then all that leaves is confusion and clear impression of subterfuge. Another bloody mess seems to be brewing.

Easing the club's financial constraints is certainly a good thing, albeit temporary. Having sufficient shareholding to prevent harmful board actions is also a good thing ... but only if you trust the people wielding that shareholding. Progress means nothing unless you know if it is good or bad progress and that is a purely retrospective commodity, which is why transparency and honesty at the outset is such an essential component. When Club1872 starts conducting itself with transparency and honesty, it will be possible to trust it's custody of such a large shareholding. Until then it would be reckless to support it.

I don't think anyone can reasonably be accused to dividing humanity into different races. The available body of information suggests that evolution had already completed that job, which self-evident fact tends to render into nonsense your continuing 1970's fixation with capitalism
-
Everyone needs a role in life I suppose. Even if it is a shallow fantasy.
-
I'd say there's no doubt about it. It's entirely typical Club1872 didn't anticipate this reaction in the first place or, if they did, chose to ignore it.
-
I think that's the usual race-obsessed BBC social engineering department justifying it's salaries.
-
That would be ridiculous. If they choose to say something they don't mean then that's for their conscience alone. personally, I'd rather they didn't say anything but collective sentimentality seems to demand it.
-
I think that's probably the least you could say about it.

I have a much better idea. Why doesn't every football player simply make a public statement confirming that they are not racist and condemning racism in all walks of life? Then we know for sure where each of them stands and they can stop this incessant virtue-signalling. Job done.
-
What you read it like is for you alone to decide. I don't think I was ambiguous. Anyway I'm sure you're able to discriminate my meaning from your interpretation. ?
-
I thought this was pretty funny

So, I see Millwall players have now abandoned taking the knee entirely. Does that make them all racists now? Of course it doesn't. I predict these clubs and the football authorities will knock this nonsense on the head now. Mainly because the TV companies will not risk broadcasting booing during their routine virtue signalling exhibition.

What’s FF?

You seem quite emotional.

Ha ha. Perfectly expressed!

We didn't know it would be this season but we always knew when it came the meltdown would be of catastrophic proportions. I can see suicides, the lot. The madness and delusion infecting that lot is way out of hand.
