Barisic excepted the quality of balls into the box has been awful. -

I’d call it pedestrian if we weren’t carrying so many passengers. -

I think Defoe and Roofe are here to do fundamentally the same job. I hope they don’t cancel each other out. -

It's an important observation that suggests a need for someone like Hagi providing a more central route to goal. -

You could well be right although the way the front three rotate I don't suppose it matters too much how they line up on paper. In midfield I assumed Davis as sole sitting midfielder (it's Motherwell). At a push I might even add Zungu and replace Kent with Hagi. I'm really looking forward to the game today. Nothing like a bit of adversity to freshen things up. The only concern is adversity has previously led to things going completely to shit. Much seems to depend on whether this team has developed some of Walter Smith's steel or if the powder-puffery is still there. If the latter then the management team is in some jeopardy -

I'd need that if there was a winner-takes-all playoff. -

This man needs therapy. A four week ban should ensure full rehabilitation ? -

Exceptional review by @JohnMc , really enjoyed reading that. Give him a new weekly contract. I would only add that stumbles like the other night can also be viewed as opportunities. But only if the character of the squad is right ... and I believe it is. I expect Gerrard knows this too and Motherwell will get a tanking. -
I just thought it was a pleasure to see a rangers shirt without some advertising banner across the front

Also, half the fun of this is seeing how other people voted ...... can we go back to making it an open vote please.

I completely fail to see the point of abstaining in a MOTM vote? There isn't a minimum qualifying standard. It's just a relative assessment. I voted for Kemar Roofe, who I thought was the only forward player that turned up with anything like serious intent. His work rate was excellent, despite receiving almost no service all game. Other than Goldson, he was the only Rangers player that I felt didn't let themselves down.

The next few games will be very revealing and should tell us where we are on the path to recovery to trophy-winning status. Was it just the inevitable stumble of an otherwise successful side? Or did it expose something more fundamentally wrong? The answer will dictate what we achieve this season. -

No, if we're going to rest David/Kamara, we need Jack back because Zungu isn't there yet. -

Unless you only discovered football in the last three months you already know that nights like this are part and parcel of football. Unless you think the rebuilding job at Rangers is complete then you will already know something like this would happen at some point. Stay calm, retain composure, the next game is just around the corner. No one said it would be easy. -

Davis or Kamara for Aribo, Barisic for Bassey. Kent more central. -

It will be interesting to see if Zungu can do what Davis and Jack have done so well. -
I hope at the very least your sharing of this letter might help some fans to stop donating money to this dysfunctional organisation. The cause might have some merit but the implementation is quite unsafe.

I'm a bit late in studying it but having done so this morning, the Club1872 statement has to be as effective an act of self harm as you're likely to see. In one week it has managed to destroy the entire facade that it knows what it's doing or is doing it for the right reasons. It's another sorry mess and one that's been commonplace along the line of descent of supporters' groups. Only root and branch change can rescue anything from this. The chaos of Club1872 has become the thing we need safeguarded against.
