  1. Worse than that, it's like we think the only antidote to David Murray is replacing him with Club1872. Only, beyond blind faith, we're not allowed to know how Club1872 will act any differently.
  2. The only explanation I can come up with is that some supporters have been so spooked by the events surrounding and following administration that they have subliminally transferred allegiance to a fans' organisation that is clearly dancing to its own tune and serving its own purpose. However well-packaged the initial intention was, it's now very hard to believe that the interests of Rangers and Club1872 are anywhere near fully aligned. This latest arrangement is dispiriting.
  3. A good thing for Club1872 or a good thing for Rangers?
  4. Some may get their chance when the current first team squad is inevitably disassembled at the end of this season but it's important to remember that a large part of the reason for having an academy is to develop sources of future income rather than just raising players for our own first team.
  5. There's something very wrong about this.
  6. Great talent
  7. They’ll use the Corbyn Defence - “I was there but I didn’t take part. I was just criticising Israeli foreign policy. Long live the intifada”
  8. Reiterate Ian’s comments- thanks for whatever witchcraft you use to keep this show on the road.
  9. Money is money whatever the label hung on it
  10. 1,250,000 shares at 20p each. That's £250,000 of fans' money and not one penny of it going to Rangers. Beyond comprehension.
  11. There isn't one of us that didn't enjoy beating Celtic again but this is about a lot more than just having fun. This is also about righting some serious wrongs and sticking it to all those bastards who gloated as they pushed us down to League 2. I'll think about fun when all those things have been achieved.
  12. It's a stretch of the imagination to regard Celtic as elite in any sporting sense although they do seem to have quite a lead in child sexual abuse at football clubs.
  13. Presumably they knew before they left that they would all have to quarantine for a week on returning to the UK? Wouldn't it be a shame if they had to forfeit a game in the process?
  14. Each to their own, we're all different, especially the miserable bastards. ?
  15. Funny, I'd have thought that if anyone other than McGregor got a vote it would have to be Davis but not a single acknowledgement of the good work he did.
  16. I see where you’re coming from Ian but I think we can both enjoy the win and see the benefit of caution. It’s a bit like being able to enjoy the party without getting pissed, comes with experience ?
  17. Of course no one should be making any assumptions about the title but it would also be wrong to deny a strong sense of satisfaction at the progress our club is finally making. And not just on the park either. I just hope that those people running the club remain ambitious for success and always respectful to the fans. The appointment of Pedro Caixinha was a spectacular misjudgment - the appointment of Steven Gerrard has been an inspired decision, both of which show how important it is to have effective leadership and a clear sense of who we are.
  18. They won their first title the year we went into the chaos of administration. They won their next four titles while we were consigned to the lower leagues. They didn’t win their ninth title at all and had to be awarded it for an incomplete season. That leaves three credible titles, even if they had had years of uncontested access to European football to finance their success. They’ve crowed and sneered their way through our difficulties, convinced themselves of their natural superiority and set themselves up for the biggest fall since Humpty Dumpty. They’re not feeling pain yet. They’re only feeling the fear of pain. Once the trophies are sitting in the Ibrox trophy room, once the reality of their financial mess becomes clear, once the child sexual abuse court cases start, that’s when the pain will come.
  19. As an aside, watching the Sky coverage I was impressed with the sensible summarising of Stiliyan Petrov. Certainly not your average Celtic clone.
  20. I just finished watching the whole game again on Sky and you’re absolutely right. I was actually surprised how much we controlled the ball throughout the second half.
  21. Celtic probably suspect it's already too late to do anything about the league title. By the time they've had a week in Dubai to reflect on their situation, they'll be sure of it.
  22. Jack’s early problems were red cards not injuries.
