Somewhere there also needs be a greater physical presence.

The two I would go for would be Tavernier, Davis, Kamara and Arfield ?

With the occasional exception, in most games the attitude throughout the team simply stinks. For much of the time it looks like players simply going through the motions. I don't see anger, aggression, passion, call it what you will. We continue to carry a loser's mentality that our current coaches seen unable to shift and while it remains we will win nothing. There needs to be a bloodletting at Rangers and one or two of our main players should be shown the door in an almighty show of managerial leadership. Souness knew the value of sacrifice, so did Walter.

Who do you think will score Livi’s winner?

If you got points for centre backs passing to each other, we would be world beaters

Another old hero leaves the stage. Tam was special for so many Rangers fans. I thought he was one of the very best. Adios Tam, happy trails.

I was tempted to vote for Jack or Kamara and it wouldn’t have been a slip of the finger if I had. For some reason you’ve made it clear time and again you don’t like Jack but why make a point of bad mouthing him instead of just praising someone else?

The EPL is not the pond we should be fishing in. We not only need to sign better quality players but we have to be conscious of the need to eventually move them on for a profit. I'd rather see us develop effective scouting in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe (for example) or at least pay higher wages rather than higher signing fees that only benefit the selling club.

Only one realistic choice this time. Borna Barisic.
-
Changing half the outfield players in the second half is bound to have an impact on performance and cohesion but it was telling how we started to wobble after the Jack-Kamara partnership was disrupted in midfield. They might not contribute the spectacular but Jack in particular plays a massive role in controlling and cycling the ball.

Sometimes it looks like the club is still completely disengaged from the fans. They’re happy as long as ST sales are going well and boast about kit sales but they’ve no interest in what we want. -
If the right chairman for Rangers is available, there is no reason whatsoever to delay the appointment. Unless of course the plan is indeed to return to the SDM formula of corporate governance.

I don't understand why the appointment of a chairman is being connected to a share issue. The two should be irrelevant to each other. This seems to hark back to the Murray definition of an Owner Chairman, where the chairman effectively ran the club at all levels. However, Murray or others like him didn't control the club because he was chairman, he held the reins because he was the majority shareholder. There's no requirement for a chairman to be a shareholder at all and I would contend it would be a damned good thing if he/she wasn't. What we have at present is an unfulfilled opportunity to appoint a chairman of national stature, with all that that could bring. Control rests with the shareholders, albeit with certain provisions to prevent decision making stalemates. The role of the chairman is to see the board functions effectively and that the directors and the company fulfil their legal, financial and fiduciary obligations. The chairman should be appointed by the shareholders according to his/her experience, reputation and key connections. The chairman should not be seen as the person who either sets direction or takes operational decisions - that's the role of the directors appointed by the shareholders and whatever executive the directors decide to appoint. So long as the majority of shares are held by Rangers men and women, the rest will fall in place.

Indeed. He's started this campaign so much better than he finished last season, when he was not only routinely poor but appeared to down tools in frustration on a couple of occasions. A very welcome recovery, I thought we'd lost him. -
It's quite a long time now since Douglas Park became interim chairman. I've heard nothing about a more permanent replacement for Dave King but I'd have thought this is something we need to get right and get behind us to solidify progress.

You would assume so but it's the current offering on their website today, so any confusion is probably intentional on the day after "the champions" fell on their arses. There's nothing I can see that explains how these names are chosen ... but I think we all know that's not an issue for the SPFL.
