  1. Goldson and Tavernier seem to have something far more important than mere fitness, They've got resilience.
  2. The manager clearly thinks they're robust enough to play more regularly than some others - and the evidence clearly says they are.
  3. I think we need to get used to the fact there isn't a 'first choice' eleven players any more. Certain positions will retain more consistency than others but most will have routine unenforced changes so we can cover a heavy rota of games without over-taxing players. Expect Iannis Hagi to start on Thursday.
  4. It looks like that's the only hurdle left between us and the league title. Not just whether or not we can put together a winning run but whether they will start dropping points where they previously didn't.
  5. He's a bit of an enigma really. A black Finn called Glenn. When he arrived at Rangers he looked like the bargain of the century. he was instrumental in everything good that Gerrard brought. Then he not only disappeared on the park but at times after last New Year he looked utterly disinterested. But since this season started he has been getting better and better for both club and country. His performance yesterday was sensational - the milestone when he became the best player on the field, the clear and obvious MOTM - that wasn't easy because there were good performances in blue shirts all around him. Goldson of course but matched by Helander, Arfield, Davis, Kent, Morelos. And wasn't it good to see Joe Aribo back too.
  6. I thought this aspect of his performance was quite superb yesterday. You just have to look at his role in the second goal to see the benefit of a fully engaged Alfredo. He's probably not going to score as many goals as he did but he now looks part of the team rather than just a solo artist.
  7. £13m for Laxalt? Surely that can’t be right. He’s a melon.
  8. It was noticeable today that when we introduced subs there wasn’t a hiccup in performance. A sign of good progress.
  9. Kris Boyd giving it both barrels n post match analysis ?????
  10. Is that really something to be better at? I'm not sure I'd feel better about my club if that had been our youth player bigging up Alfredo. There's professional PR for a purpose and there's grubbing about in the gutter to impress those who live there.
  11. If it runs through football the it must run through all aspects of Scottish life. There should be no doubt about that- the legal profession, police, local government, the civil service, the NHS, the media, education and of course the faith industry. All providing mutual protection. Only the stupid or careless ones ever reveal themselves.
  12. I'm not a fan of international football but it seems it has some redeeming features after all.
  13. I see Adrian Durham is saying he thinks Wilshere could be heading back to Arsenal. Can't see that myself.
  14. That's a great pity with the Celtic game coming up. On the other hand, if it's minor or merely precautionary then it could work in our favour to have him well rested.
  15. You're probably right, I shouldn't have raised the point.
  16. I think Wilshere would be a risk to the cohesion and spirit of the squad and that's the last thing we need.
  17. Superb, most appropriate.
  18. It might have been a lasting resolution if it applied (say) until all director loans had been resolved. Otherwise there should have been a notice asking if we wanted to exercise our pre-emption rights.
  19. It looks like it. Does the waiver of pre-emption rights granted previously is still effective? Normally I would expect a special resolution like that to apply to a specific share issue.
  20. Yup, only the finishing line separates the winner from the losers.
  21. So ..... Alfredo stays at Rangers after all
