  1. I think I'll stick to avoiding Hampden for the final.
  2. Are we going to turn up at Hampden? I've decided not to return to that dump until we start winning there (the Hibs semi was the last straw for this Bear) I hope the players have more balls than me.
  3. I think it's okay to criticise player performances or question signings, if done in a reasonable manner. Some of the stuff getting written/said about Lundstram a few months ago was ridiculous. I seem to recall Mark Hateley getting loads of (pretty severe) abuse during his first season and he turned out to be one of our best ever strikers. That says it all about first impressions.
  4. I have a pal who's a season ticket holder at Turf Moor and he's glad to see the back of Dyche. Said he'd rather watch decent football in the Championship than shit football in the Prem. I kind of know what he means (from a Rangers perspective, the EL is preferable to the CL, when you ignore the financial aspects - going toe to toe with Crvena Zvezda and Lyon is better than getting humped off PSG and Real Madrid*). *Hypothetical realism
  5. I worry about us against teams good at set-pieces (I think West Ham probably fall into that category). The East Germans have some cracking young players but it's a semi-final and tension is inevitable. That might favour us. I have a general dislike for Eintracht Frankfurt - they hammered us in the 60s and my only HSV game was a 1-0 defeat to them. I also encountered many of their fans on the way to our (away) match against Rapid Vienna and found them to be disagreeable, in an efficient sort of way. I'm not sure what to expect but it's just great to be where we are.
  6. If a commentator makes silly or prejudiced comments, they're only making themselves and perhaps their employer look daft. Scottish football has enough shameful issues of its own* without worrying about what a Northern Irish 'pundit', who can't shut his trap for two seconds, has to say. *Particularly the collective blind eye when it comes to the child sex abuse at the Piggery
  7. I voted for Aribo, for his assists and his all-round play. It's great to see him return to form and his ball retention last night was top notch. It's always nice to have several players deserving MotM.

I'd imagine several clubs who compete in Europe would be interested in employing Ramsey and there's no guarantee he's winning anything with Rangers this season. He's 31 - it's a short career and we all know money is king for the majority of footballers.

    Next Season

You'd have to be stark raving bonkers to go from £300k to £30k a week, when there are far better offers available from clubs in more prestigious leagues. Most Welsh people I've met are a bit mental, I suppose (but not that mental).
  10. Terrific performance this evening. I thought we deserved to go through in normal time but a wee lapse cost us and we had to keep going. Credit to all the players for continuing to attack and do it well. I'm delighted. I hope we can carry this momentum into Sunday's game against the scum of the Earth.
  11. I only know how to say 'We're Scottish', 'I don't speak Serbian' and 'Two beers' in that language, so that press conference is about as much use as any other. 😃
  12. I'd consider picking Roofe instead of Morelos because he's one yellow away from missing the next one.
  13. As long as the team are focused on the job, we should be fine. The 'Zvezda' players and supporters will undoubtedly make it uncomfortable but that's to be expected.
  14. The one thing that concerns me about a 3-0 first leg win is that we might just sit on it. We're a better side when we're on the attack, particularly in Europe. Looking forward to the match though. The Marakana is sold out and a very hostile atmosphere is guaranteed. Mon The Rangers! 🇬🇧
  15. I thought it was amusing when FA Cup matches at EPL stadiums used VAR but those at stadiums of clubs below the EPL didn't. I have no doubts VAR in Scotland wouldn't rid us of crap officials or poor decisions.
  16. Looks like it's definitely going ahead then. The board have been a disgrace here. The opinions of the support are obviously of no interest to them whatsoever. I hope there's loads of trouble in and around the stadium - might be the only thing that puts a stop to this nonsense happening again.
  17. Should play it somewhere more lucrative than Hampden. Mogadishu perhaps...
  18. I've already decided I'm not going back to Hampden until we win there again, so hopefully I'll be back in May.
  19. Terrific stats. Tavernier has been a good player for us and some of his recent performances have been up there with his best. Now, as captain he'll surely be desperate to lift the cup aloft at Hampden - get it done!
  20. Hopefully Kamara can forget about it now. Kudela's career was effectively finished by the ten match ban (including missing the Euros) and I'm sure Aamer Anwar has lots of other quick bucks to chase.
  21. Here's what I think about us playing the vermin in an overseas friendly...
  22. Sydney. It's a form of protest against the board (this is a statement of fact, nothing else). Good result today. We should really have scored more.
  23. Miko and Kuznetzov both played a huge part in my first and favourite derby at the Piggery (4-2 on NYD '94). An unforgettable day.
  24. James Bisgrove for me. His marketing strategies are flawless. In all seriousness, Ramsey could still score two derby winners, a Scottish Cup final winner and help us win the EL, so who knows.
