  1. From another perspective, the 2024/25 season technically isn't over yet and we only relieved Ferguson of his managerial duties four days ago.
  2. Out of that three, I'd be hoping it's Ancelotti.
  3. It's only a pantomime if you get too absorbed in the clickbait press articles and social media. In reality, the club will be doing exactly what you said.
  4. Yes, you meant the group of clubs sitting under the Red Bull banner. However, the term 'ecosystem' is still just as deplorable in that context.
  5. These trendy kids nowadays, they don't half talk pish.
  6. It's obvious the new owners will have the final say in who the new manager is, if the takeover is definitely happening.
  7. Callum Davidson wants a word. 😉
  8. Fully agree. His fitness record is poor and cloying sentiment hasn't served us well recently. Footballers go where the money is and get paid a fortune, so getting emotional about them is just silly.
  9. As far as I'm aware, we are allowed to start with eleven players if Dessers is unavailable. Igamane is a better finisher than Dessers and a good manager would have played him up front more often.
  10. The language used in that article is ridiculous and the 'leaked message' it refers to was not from anyone at the club or Gerrard's side, so I think we can disregard that story/source.
  11. Aaron Cresswell and Craig Dawson, maybe.
  12. The Gerrard rumours appear to be picking up speed again, in the usual places. Got to say, I'll be disappointed if we bring him back. He left us pretty sharpish last time, failed at Villa, had an uneventful spell in the back of beyond and I think we can do better. I like winning cups too.
  13. We don't even know who the new manager is, so I don't think anyone's position is 'secure'. If we start next season with Dessers up front, I'll be annoyed. Two seasons is two too many having to watch him.
  14. Are folk still going on about Shankland?
  15. I thought I had been bevvying too much recently but this sort of stuff makes me think I'm not too bad.
  16. Clement had to go but we were never bringing in anyone suitable, for the long term, at that stage. It was a stop gap, that's all, so there's no point dwelling on it.
  17. Years of inTimidation have worked wonders. It's more like a protection racket than bribary.
  18. Glad this season is over and done with. Another with a long list of disappointments. I'm glad the club have confirmed Ferguson's brief stint is over today.
  19. Speak for yourself. I enjoy watching that lot fighting amongst themselves.
  20. More telling is the yellow cards per tackle ratio: Celtc average 10.8 tackles per card. The closest team to them is Kilmarnock, with 6.6 tackles per card. Rangers average 5.9 tackes before a yellow is shown. Aberdeen are lowest, with 4.7.
  21. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/25170617.rangers-explore-co-operation-deal-championship-club/ "It's claimed the Ibrox club could strike a deal to link up with the Kirkcaldy side under a new Scottish FA initiative. The proposal for the 'Cooperation System' was passed back in February meaning changes to the rules for players to move on loan from next season. As part of the new system, players will be allowed to move freely between their parent club and a co-operative club throughout the season."
  22. There's a Morroccan lad who can play up front.
  23. Move to Brazil with the old man or be his own man in Glasgow? One can't really blame him for taking the easier option. The sightseeing in Rio is considerably more pleasant than Glasgow, I'd have thought.
  24. If Igamane could look up, find a teammate more often and cut out some of the dribbling, he'd be a better central forward (actually playing him there might help cut out the necessity for the hopes above).
