  1. Posted on FF. ''It's an all too familiar story about the way our club is run. Pathetic in fact''
  2. I had to look at the date when I first read this piece. You would think the sillier they get, the more people would see through them. But so far it's not happening, although I get the impression most folk couldn't give a monkeys about sectarianism etc.
  3. YOU put your right leg in . . . Itââ?¬â?¢s a dance-floor favourite at family gatherings and a good indicator of when elderly aunts have had enough sherry. But, as the party season gets into full swing, the Catholic church and politicians in Scotland have warned that singing the Hokey Cokey could get you arrested because it contains a sinister, sectarian message. They claim the ditty was composed by Puritans during the 18th century to mock the language and actions used by priests at Latin Mass and could be hijacked by bigots. Supporters of Rangers football club have been banned from singing sectarian songs at the clubââ?¬â?¢s ground but discussions are taking place on fan websites about singing the Hokey Cokey at matches. Politicians have urged the police to arrest anyone caught singing the song in a sectarian context under legislation on incitement to religious hatred. ââ?¬Å?This song does have quite disturbing origins. It was devised as an attack on, and a parody of, the Catholic Mass,ââ?¬Â said Peter Kearney, a spokesman for the Catholic church in Scotland. ââ?¬Å?If there are moves to restore its more malevolent meaning then consideration should perhaps be given to its wider use.ââ?¬Â SNP MSP Michael Matheson said: ââ?¬Å?It is important that the police and football clubs are aware of the sinister background to this song, and take the appropriate action against individuals and groups who use it at matches or in other situations to taunt Catholics.ââ?¬Â The church says the title derives from ââ?¬Å?hocus-pocusââ?¬Â. The phrase is said to ridicule the words used by priests in the Eucharist, ââ?¬Å?hoc est enim corpus meumââ?¬Â, or ââ?¬Å?this is my bodyââ?¬Â.
  4. Lets all do it next Saturday...what a load of wallopers. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/scotland/article5375699.ece
  5. What did he do to defend himself.
  6. The man just lost his mam, gies a break.
  7. Nice one Stevie, I for one didn't want to pay so much for Davis, but he has won me over this season. ''It's a family club and everyone gets on well, even when you're just on loan," he said. "Everybody looks out for each other and I've found that especially in the last few weeks. It's probably the most family-oriented club I've been at so far and yet also probably the biggest. "It probably does surprise you the level of camaraderie among the lads. You know everybody genuinely cares and gets on well together. We look out for each other and it's a great club to be at. The Hamilton game was my first game back after going through a difficult time. It was great to get on the scoresheet and dedicate the goal to my mum." 8. A big earner by all accounts.... Good Luck Jean Claude.

  10. That made me smile, don't know why!!
  11. Only 2 or 3 teams, a good way to make some money btw.
  12. Same as the SPL without Rangers and celtc, would be very competitive. I reckon some of the teams would attract good crowds. Going for the League Title is more attractive, no matter the quality, than going for 3rd place.
  13. A decent centre half, and we'll win the league. We would probably win it with the players we have now. Never forget... PS Negativity never won anything and is a trait of losers.
  14. It's actually my birthday on the 27th, I usually try to forget about it nowadays, but I'm hoping for a massive celebration this year.
  15. Everybody knew DU would flood the midfield after half-time. We were all talking about it, the ones in the studio mentioned it, even Scott Booth in the first half couldn't understand why CL had changed his tactics. I know it's easy in hindsight, but switching Miller to the right and Davis joining the 2 in the middle, even just for 10/15 minutes, could have given us 3 points.
  16. Gives a wee mention to the Tims record in the Champions League. High but not so mighty Celtic went out of the Champions League on a high on Wednesday, according to reports. They were still bottom of their group, behind even Aalborg, who are sixth of 12 in the Danish league, but they won a home match against an uninterested Villarreal team who had already qualified and were missing five of the players who kicked off their campaign against Manchester United. Celtic also lost every away game in group E, taking their Champions League record beyond Celtic Park to P20 W0 D1 L19. Some high.
  17. Perhaps, but a promise by the chairman would be an even bigger incentive. We'll find out soon enough. I don't want it myself, can still remember JG, it was painful to watch.
  18. I don't think Ally would have given up his media work, just to be assistant manager.
  19. On loan for 2 months. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ReserveDetail/0,,5~1486650,00.html
  20. Heard an interview he gave before the game last Saturday. Where it is usually 'we thought this or we thought that', it was 'I', throughout. Could have been nothing, but my first thought was, you sound as if you have picked the team today. Spooky mate!!
  21. Unless you followed the team back then, it's difficult to describe what Greig meant to Rangers Supporters during the dark days. I think we thought more of him when they were winning 9iar, than when we were winning, he was Rangers in these days.
  22. I've only seen him on RTV, but I thought he was half decent. Perhaps they think the kid Gregg Wylde is a better prospect. Better doing something like this now, and finding out if he has anything, than him hanging around for a couple of years then letting him go. Better for the lad and Rangers.
  23. Why did Setanta not show a replay of Caldwells (second) yellow. The ref gave a free kick, so he obviously saw an elbow. If it had been a Rangers player, they would still be showing it.
  24. There are 4 over there, 5 in the middle and 1 at the front.
  25. If we continue to lose games it wont matter what tactics we play, we're F----d.
