So says Walter, but we may go back to last seasons tactics. (He has demanded a positive reaction from his players after last week’s defeat at Hearts allowed Celtic to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points. Smith said: “We have a good record at home and we have actually been playing quite well in the home games so we hope to do that this weekend. “We get Hamilton at a time when they have started to show a bit of resilience and have had a couple of good results against Dundee United and Kilmarnock so it will be a tough one for us.” Smith admits he may have to rethink his decision to adopt a more attractive style of football this season if Rangers continue to ship points. He said: “Last season, a lot of the time we set our stall out not to lose games and we have gone about it in a slightly different way this season. “We have played a more attractive style of football. Whether it will be as successful or not remains to be seen.” Asked whether he would persist with this season’s tactics, he said: “Not if we’re going to continue to lose games I won’t.'')

Not much between that, and Roger Hynd playing in the 1967 Final.

Come on lads, we may have been disappointed, but were we surprised.

Should be good fun in January. -
So reports from Spain would suggest. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/manchester_city/article5279223.ece

Can anyone think of someone coming back to Rangers, and it being better than the first time round? Or even coming close.
-
I've never heard that explanation, I always remember Dundee being the Dark Blue and us the Light Blues, as Wija says. Nice one pete.

Read a report recently of a reserve game, couldn't believe this comment... 6. Maurice Edu - Struggled with the pace of the game but did well to break up a few attacks. Doesn't look ready to become a 1st team regular though. Struggled with the pace of the game in a reserve match, and before he came he was playing for the USA in the Olympics.
-
That begs the question, would you rather have the SPL title or the team playing good football. With the manager we have, I'm not sure we can do both.
-
WS is a lot happier setting a team up as he did with Scotland, defensive and trying not to lose goals. Just as he did with Rangers in Europe last season, in fact he is very good with this set-up. You could ask why, after the 'almost' most successful season ever, he decided to change.

Trying to forget about them, have a bet on both Chelsea and Man U. to win the League.
-
Good day for Man U if it stays like this.

''Why do we keep dropping daft points when on paper we have a better side than celtic and they were in europe(which is supposed to have you dropping some points in your own domestic league due to tiredness), yet we have over a week to plan games tactically and get fit for them and we are dropping more points than celtic?'' We keep saying we have a better team than them, do we really??

I don't think BF is captain material to be honest, and I'm not a Barry hater. Just being the best player at a club is not a good reason for making someone captain. Who it could be in the long term tho' is another question.

Why would he, if any decisions go against them the media do it for him. I aint saying they don't get everything going, I'm saying it's partly Rangers own fault.
-
Scared of giving a decision against selltic. If they are actually cheats, they must be the most blatant in football history, not even trying to hide it anymore. Or is it more likely to be a mixture of being incompetent and scared. If someone like Alex Ferguson or Souness were the manager of Rangers, would this have been allowed to develop. Keeping quiet over the years has come back to haunt us, it seems the only people Rangers speak out about are us, their own Support.

Got the right name as well, he'll go right to the top!

Is that not the norm, sign a new contract and take a break? I would like to see Whittaker make it at Rangers, he has pace, looks a decent athlete, and seems to have loads of confidence. As for his football ability, lets say he has shown glimpses.
-
I'm not the biggest fan of Burke, but we played our best football last season when he was in the team. I wonder if Whittaker at right back and Broadfoot at left back, will give us better attacking options. Anyway I would still like a winger Burke/Beasley in the team, preferrably on the left. I can remember PLG playing Burke on the left against Linfield for some reason.

Any team that wins the League have loads of 1-0 wins, no matter how good or bad they are. If wrong decisions are going to rob us of these, then we will not win the league You can say things even out in the end, but when are the decisions going to go against Celtc......will they ever??

Well done with this, first time I have read about under 17's. Keep up the good work.

Who the heck wrote that........shows up the writing of the so called journalists in Scotland.

The Sun reports on Celtic Fans' Poppy Protest
chilledbear replied to Frankie's topic in General Football Chat
Come on now lads as Keevins said last night........''they are entitled to protest against remembering the dead, IT'S A FREE COUNTRY after all''. They just don't get it. -
