  1. What, we don't get miracles on injured players.
  2. If this is true then WS is right, no matter who the manager and player is. Just as PLG should have been supported over Fergie, Smith should have our support over Boyd. No doubt conspiracy theories will be aired over this, but in my mind it's about time the whip was cracked at Ibrox.
  3. It made an enjoyable Saturday evening, even more enjoyable.
  4. Memories ..... last season with a ST.
  5. I'll believe we have the bottle, when we win the league. Being the best team means nuthing.
  6. What he is saying about Rangers players and bottle is true, no matter who he is. He is also partly right about Mendes, who is not someone I would trust in a dogfight, he goes missing too much for me. Where Hartson bottles it is on the managers, no blame on Smith for losing, yet praising Strachan for winning. It is now up to Rangers...Players and Management.... to prove him wrong. This article should be pinned to the dressingroom wall, from now until the end of the season.
  7. Saying what a lot of Rangers Supporters are thinking, apart from Mendes. PEDRO MENDES isnt half the player Rangers fans think he is. Kyle Lafferty is way out of his depth. John Fleck is a child who could still be at school and cant be relied upon. Kenny Miller will NEVER score enough goals on a regular basis to win any team a championship title. Davie Weir getting a new 12 month contract after his 39th birthday in May will sicken the clubs supporters. Barry Ferguson isnt yet close to being the dominating figure he used to be. Do I really need to go on? There you have the players Walter Smith is staking his reputation on to bring the SPL title to Ibrox. But as things stand the Rangers boss must look at that lot and know himself he has NO CHANCE of winning the league. Four-in-a-row is in the bag for Celtic. Its over now. Finished. Anyone who tries to tell me differently either needs to sit down with a stiff drink or watch a re-run of the Old Firm sides in action on Wednesday night. At Kilmarnock you had one group of players going all out, busting a gut to get another crucial three points on the board. In Glasgow there was another team showing no fight, no resilience and no desire to pip their greatest rivals to the post. For me that performance and result at Ibrox was a shocking disgrace which only goes to show how big a problem Smith has. The Rangers players are letting themselves, their club and their manager down. Do they actually want a league winners medal, or what? On the evidence of their display against Caley Thistle I really dont think they do. Winning titles takes bottle, but where was that when push came to shove on Wednesday? Rangers were diabolical for the two years before Smith took charge again. They came close to European glory last season and deserve all the credit going for that. But their shambolic end to the league campaign was papered over because of the hectic run of games in the final few weeks. They were given a convenient excuse. What will these guys be saying this May when they watch Celtic clinch the title again? When are they going to stand up and be counted? I really would love to know because this cant be allowed to go on much longer. Advertisement Some might choose to point the finger of blame at the manager as hes the man who brought many of these players to the club in the first place. But for me thats way too simple. Its not Walter Smith who is stepping on to the pitch week in week out. There is only so much he can say or do. Lafferty for one has been given an opportunity he says is a lifelong dream. Really? You wouldnt have thought that with the way the boy has been playing. Surely he must realise his chance of making it with Rangers is now on the verge of passing him by. If he continues the way hes going hes going to be back at somewhere like Burnley before he knows it. Lafferty must run faster, jump higher, score more. Hes the prime example of everything thats wrong in that dressing room. Lafferty thinks hes achieved something by signing for Rangers when the truth of the matter is hes done nothing. Hes nowhere near good enough for the club if you ask me, but when I see him play its as though he thinks hes got something special in his locker. Mendes isnt much better. Ive heard people rave about him this season and clearly hes got ability there and can see a pass. But seeing it and making it are two totally different things. More than that I just dont see any biting aggression there from a player supposed to be competing in central midfield for a massive club. You could say the same about Ferguson these days as hes not dominating games like he used to, but for me hes been dragged down to the level of those around him. You cant tell me he doesnt want to stop Celtic winning the league. I meet diehard Rangers fans in the street and they tell me theyre sick to death with whats being served up. The only reason they go along to see the games is because its in their blood. Its like everything they dont have at Ibrox they see in spades across the city. Celtic were awesome against Kilmarnock with everyone pulling their weight. Scott Brown was outstanding, snarling his way through the game. Scott McDonalds two goals were tremendous with his determination shining through all night. Then there was Aiden McGeady picking the ball up on the halfway line, facing his man and running at him with pace. Who at Rangers can do that? Kirk Broadfoot virtually gets a nosebleed whenever he steps out of his own half. No, the league is done and dusted. Celtic allowed a seven point lead to slip once and must have been kicking themselves. But they have been allowed to get off the hook and I dont see them wasting their advantage a second time. Rangers simply cant be that lucky. I can just imagine what it was like in the away dressing room at Rugby Park after the game on Wednesday night. Youd have had a group of players laughing their heads off. Celtic won the league there two years ago it will have felt like they did again. P.S. Gordon Strachan is still despised by a large section of Celtic supporters. They dont know theyre born. If four-in-a-row is delivered each and every one of them should sit down with a pen and paper and write him a personal note of thanks. Its the very least hed deserve.
  8. Rangers 0-0 Tims 1-1
  9. It was said he was watching Easton, seems to be a bit more than just one player. This is from a newspaper in the East Midlands. :rfc::rfc: Clough was in Scotland at the weekend to watch Hamilton Academicals take on Glasgow Rangers - and has been linked with a move for Accies defender Brian Easton. But the Rams boss insists he was there to watch several players from both sides. He said: "We went to see one or two players, looking at players for next season. "The lads were watching games around the country. "We are trying to identify players for next season. I think there are some good young players up there and financially it fits into what we will be trying to do in the summer. "We are going to try to add three or four players to the squad at least. "I do think there are some very good players up there and probably the SPL, apart from the top two or three teams, is akin to the Championship. "Financially, I think wages-wise it's realistic and pretty much in line with what we are trying to do at the start of next season. "We didn't go up to specifically look at any one player - two or three from each side. "Rangers have quite a high turnover of players, so there were two or three on each side we were looking at, no specific player."
  10. Nothing we dont already know, that's why 3 points are more important than the performance this season.
  11. I wish he wouldn't try and make 30/20/10 yard passes. Especially when a midfield player is 5 yards away from him.
  12. Lennon couldn't make an impact with Thistle, I wonder why we are persevering with him?
  13. Happier with him in my team, than my opponents.
  14. Now on YOUTUBE. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jATQ7YzdL4]YouTube - Aiden from Glasgow - Talksport[/ame]
  15. When he has a bad day at work, he takes it out on me!! :box:
  16. FFS you've got to feel sorry for the guy.
  17. Seemingly at 12.30, a poster from FF. ''Even our manager Gordon has seen the bruises and he has a wife in Poland. He's started taking cocaine now''.
  18. Stolen from FF, anyone hear this. Brother has just phoned to say there's a guy on just now talking to Stan Collymore about domestic abuse. Guy has siad he's from Glasgow and his name is Aiden. His abusive "partner" is a guy from Poland and they both work for the same firm. He said his is really scared as the Polish fella is a big guy. Collymore has suggested the Samaritans but "Aiden" has said the abuse is quite public and fears that route. They have fallen for it hook line & sinker. My brother has had to stop his car in case he passes out laughing ! "Aiden" deserves a medal for this best wind up ever.
  19. I think the 4th official is just there so managers can moan at them.
  20. What was that all about, especially when WS was standing next to them?
  21. Dont know how accurate this is. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/329213325?-11344
  22. I can promise you if there had been camera phones, NO ONE would have used them in the way they have been used recently.
  23. Changed days indeed, I remember early seventies at our RSC Dinner Dance [ok ok], but a good way of raising funds for the next season. We had John Greig, Alex McDonald and Stewart Kennedy all attending, and usually a young reserve, they would sign autographs and get photos taken with memberrs. Some players would even give us a song, especially AMcD. I think all Clubs tried to have Alex attend their do's.
  24. And Murray and Bain.
