  1. I'm really unclear about their motivation behind releasing these statements. Is it to de-rail the process and get some attention? Several people seem to have walked away from them including their vice-chair. During the last month they haven't been very transparent themselves, setting up a limited company on 16th August, writing a statement that they were unhappy with the meeting before it even took place and being downright rude to Ian Davidson, Chris Graham and Paul Goodwin during the meeting - people who have spent a substantial amount of time on this. It's very disappointing that they have chosen to release these statements.
  2. You know this is where people should take account of what the RST actually says than what people on certain websites say we said. I'm not really sure why people do this but in the last few days i've read 9 pages on another site about how the RST had asked fans not to buy season tickets and now we were advising them to do so. Quotes about 'starving Green of funds' were being attributed to us when it was Bomber Brown who actually said this. The only comment we made on season tickets was back in June when there was doubt about direct debits and whether they were going into the oldco account. We merely advised our members to delay payments until proper banking facililties were in place and that the money was safe from the liquidators. Why people twisted this to say we had recommended that people don't buy season tickets is anyone's guess.
  3. Why don't you call it A Rangers Supporters Entrustment fund? I seriously doubt that what you are suggesting here would be legal under FSA regulations and/ or company law although I am not an expert. In addition, given the background of people responding to this, I can't believe that people are advocating donating such substantial sums of money to the company who owns the club in exchange for, well nothing really except buying a few players when it could be used to buy the club itself.
  4. There were plenty but the fans didn't want to listen.
  5. Thanks TB, I clearly didn't pick up on this.
  6. At the RFFF meeting they said they had spent around £8M and expected another £3M so where has this figure come from. I'm not doubting you but wonder where you got this information from.
  7. Mark gets his tickets from the Rosevale RSC, but just buy into the myth that he doesn't go to games.
  8. Why are you making up stories? I'd wager you know absolutely nothing.
  9. It is disgusting, especially as he has stated many times (and posted it only last week) that he does not have the business credentials to be on the Board. he is neither seeking that nor would he accept a position if offered. It's amazing that people think that fan ownership is about fans running the club, as if wee Jimmy from the Partick Loyal will be making business decisions.
  10. As soon as someone says the North of Ireland you know what's coming.
  11. Corrupt, really? To say that about fellow Rangers supporters is shocking. I hope you have evidence to back that up.
  12. To be honest BH, 'collective responsibility' (for me) is up there with 'sporting integrity' - meaningless words. Despite what you may read, it is unclear who MD is representing as he received a phone call asking him to attend a meeting. In addition, as I have stated elsewhere, I do not believe that the RFFF should have been meeting Charles Green or making comments to fans on season tickets, particularly as some of its' members will now have a conflict of interest, however that is another debate. I believe that it would have been more irresponsible to encourage members to renew given the serious doubts we have about this consortium. It's getting late so I don't have time to make a list but here is one question we should be asking. Why, if he is going to raise another £20M by the end of July (assuming he has already raised £10M), was he willing to sell 50% of the club for £8M?
  13. This is the statement that I was talking about. RST Board Advice to Members Friday, 22 June 2012 11:56 There are a number of major issues facing the club and the support at present, not least of which is the decision on when, if at all, to renew season tickets. Given recent revelations over the failure of season ticket money to be ring-fenced as the Chief Executive Charles Green had indicated, we feel there is no other option open to the support than to delay payment until it is clear that proper corporate banking facilities are in place and supporters cash is protected from liquidators. The RST board has serious concerns with regard to Charles Green's business model and his ability to take the club forward. It remains unclear whether he will be able to raise the £30m investment pledged at the outset of his bid and with continued speculation that the club has no corporate banking facilities our fears are only increasing. Therefore it is incumbent upon the Chief Executive and Chairman to allay these fears with guarantees and hard evidence of investment and secure the relevant banking facility required for a business the size of Rangers.
  14. It's great to see the correct words of Follow, Follow. I wish the fans would sing them.
  15. BH, if you read the RST statement the advice we gave to our members was to delay payment until a number of things were clarified. Not the same thing.
  16. Well I did promise a fuller reply TB. I realise you were not getting at the RST. In your original post you talked about harming the club but now you're talking about working against the owners of the club (whoever they are). I see the club and the owners as two different things and I have major doubts about them. It's true we (along with the Assembly and Association) supported TBK through the bidding process. We also supported Walter's consortium along with the majority of the support. We have not said anything about Bomber's bid as I'm not sure we know anything about it. I'd be interested to find out what the proof of funding that was shown to the committee. Was this the proposed additional £20M we're getting by the end of July? I'll certainly be there on Wednesday to find out these things. My own feeling is that the RFFF should be wound up as we are no longer in administration. This is not a dig at any of the fans on the committee as I think they were doing a good job (although I didn't agree with the payment to Dunfermline). Perhaps it is time to expand the Assembly and invite some of the people onto it but the RFFF should have been a short term group and it's causing even more confusion amongst the fans. All just my opinion.
  17. The OP can't have actually been inside Cliftonhill. What a dump.
  18. TB, I am just about to go out so I'll reply in full later. I think we are all under strain from everything that has happened. Remember when people thought getting rid of SDM would be enough?
  19. TB, I'm not going to fall out with you but there are a few things here that are incorrect. Firstly, the committee was in place prior to the meeting on the day of the march. It was at the previous meeting that it was set up. Also, it was my understanding that they had a mandate whilst the club was in administration but there was nothing to suggest that they would have a role when we came out of administration or when we were sold. I also think that you are being unfair singling out the 'RST' rep when the Assembly and Association have issued similar statements. I'd also like to point out that Mark was invited onto the committee at a meeting prior to the bigger meeting. I'm unclear whether this was because he was on the RST Board or representing the Assembly or as the owner of FF. I'm pleased to see that the committee is asking pertinent questions as you have probably given more information here that has come out from them. Who else do you think should have stepped down, I know Andy and Jim C already have? I also think that it's wrong to say people are actively working against the club because they would prefer owners with a connection to the club. I would never do anything to harm the club, I have had a season ticket since 1974 and have followed the club home and away since then. I haven't yet decided what to do about my season ticket but please don't accuse me and others like me of trying to harm my club just because I have doubts about handing over £600 of my hard earned cash to people I have doubts about.
  20. It's funny but Andy Kerr and John McMillan also came out with statements against renewing season tickets at the moment, in fact I think they both had their statements out before the Trust.
  21. Frankie, I know that TBK/ BK put in a bid that they were told would win preferred bidder status. Why else would BK have flown from NY for the announcement? All of a sudden this is given to someone who appeared out of the blue. Someone who has said that he knew in March that he was getting the club and who didn't put in a bid by the deadline set by Duff and Phelps. Something about the whole thing stinks. Green has also spoken about getting another £20M in but then offers 50% of the club and two Board places for £8M. If he'd been honest from the start I may feel differently but once someone lies to the Rangers support then that says it all for me.
  22. Why was there not the same outrage when people were singing that they hoped he would die in his sleep with a bullet from the IRA?
