Transfer Deadline Day Rumour and Movement Thread

Recommended Posts

I can see what you're saying, but they sold most their squad to do it.

Would you be happy selling Boyd, Davis Boogie etc to gamble on a lot of untested players plus one "star" loan signing?

It may work for them. It may backfire spectacularly.

You have a point. But this still has been a very strange and contrasting window. Especially getting rid of 2 top earners and not using the money - unless that will be used for contract offers?

Still time though, still time!

Ewan Cameron on RR

"Have Celtic just won the title?"

:wanker:

You gotta be fuckin' kidding me.

This same set of media last week were screaming for Mowbray's head because Celtic were pish.

Robbie Keane, Celtic saviour, riding in on a trusty white steed.... has anyone told them that they also need to PREVENT the other team from scoring as well as scoring goals themselves - they have sold pretty much their whole defence and no-one, including them, knows how the new recruits will fare.

This is a masterstroke by Lawell though because the 20,000 empty seats will at least be partially filled now. However, a masterstroke can very, very quickly become an idiot's ploy - they could end up in as much financial meltdown as us if these signings don't bear fruit.

Thanks Dr.

As long as it's permanent that's all that matters. That means they've just sold their best goal scorer & brought in Keane who isn't going to be a guaranteed success for them. Keane is a very good player & might score goals for fun up here, but the deal for him isn't signed and sealed & there's no guarantee that he'll deliver the goods for them.

Their first choice team suddenly does look pretty strong:

Perhaps....

Boruc

Hinkel Loovens Hooiveld Braafheid

Maloney N'Guemo Brown McGeady

Keane Kamara

May never get the chance to play together though considering Maloney and Brown are long term injuries and the strikers are 2 loanees

Bar Keane, no-one knows anything about these other guys.

Cameron was stirring shite but you know there are Tims out there who really believe its in the bag

Good. Complacency is never a good thing. It can also act as a motivational tool to your opponents. I am sure Rangers players will see a stronger Celtic and realise that complacency in our own ranks simply won't do.

We dont need to win the remaining OF games but as it stands, they DO. That could play into our hands. We just need to look after ourselves because is WE do the business then THEY can't catch us. Simples.
