PROTEST SUNDAY 14th FEBRUARY - MORE INFO

Recommended Posts

However, Edgar believes a match day protest may undermine the Treble-chasing efforts of the team on the park.

He said: ââ?¬Å?Our concern is how an organised protest would affect the team. While it would be something that people would like to do, we are very wary of having a negative effect which might contribute towards a defeat.

That's what I felt he'd said on the radio but wasn't certain if memory served me correct.

where were they the last time we protested outside the doors of Ibrox? Or protested outside the BBC offices?

.

Just a shot in the dark here, but presumably they were exorcising their ability to think for themselves rather than doing what others would have liked them to do. Specifically regarding the BBC protest, it wouldn't have mattered a jot whether there were 100 or 1000 people there. It wasn't going to make a difference anyway.

Main problem is that no-one from any side involved here has made an official statement, so no-one actually knows what's going on, other than the rumors we've been reading from "sources". Does that not make it a bit difficult to organise a protest just now?

Mike.

Can someone tell me why Rangers can't make a statement and tell us the truth of what is actually the real state of affairs ?,sorry for being thick, but is the bank not allowing Rangers FC to address the fans ?,if so why ?,there are so many questions that need answers and I'm sure they can clear up all the uncertainty.

On the contrary, here is a clear and concise statement from the bank, you will have to decide for yourselves which side they are on, if any.

27 Oct 2009

"We do not run or manage the companies that we bank - that is, quite properly, the responsibility of the management.

"We would therefore like to be clear that Rangers FC is neither operated or run by Lloyds Banking Group."

No, the principles behind the protest and the effectiveness were not the reasons why they didn't join in.
