UPDATE - Conversation with Mr John Bennett (Blue Knights)

Recommended Posts

So an executive summary of this 'update' BH, is that we don't know whether or not John Bennett is still now involved in TBK consortium, more pressure has been put on his company and in turn Bennett himself to withdraw from it and that you'll keep us updated on whether or not Mr Bennett removes himself from the consortium? Does that sum it up?

Almost, except that I am not putting pressure on him or his company to force his withdrawal, just for him to make a decision one way or the other.

Thanks.

Off to sunny Spain!

What if he stays in the consortium and releases a statement to say that his involvement in it won't affect his every day work? Is that even an option for him?

No reason why it shouldn't be an option for him. He can be an investor without it impacting any part of his job.

Hopefully he does that then. We might end up needing TBK to help save the club, so it would be a shame to see their consortium weakened.

If you re-read his comments that I quoted in the OP he didn't seem to consider that to be an option but he could have changed his mind.

He could be but that is not what he suggested at outset, becasue of the size of his proposed investment/committment and what he expected in return.

Of course if he scaled back his investment and ambitions then it might be an option for him.

The size of his investment is irrelevant. His level of involvement in day to day affairs is obviously the issue but there's absolutely nothing to prevent him him being a Blue Knight and investing his cash and it not impacting his day job.
