SPL Vote Defeated!!

Recommended Posts

SFL statement

"We believe that positive change for the good of the game can still be achieved, but this will require compromise, and a more flexible approach to some key issues. If all parties agree to this approach and some realistic time frames can be agreed, then the current momentum for positive change need not be lost.

"The Board of The Scottish Football League will meet on Thursday to review where we are and a further statement may be appropriate at that time."

Strange that celtic seemed desperate to push this through...
Nice position for them to be in - 1. screw over your biggest rivals and ensure that you close the gap in terms of number of league titles for at least the next few years: 2. Play your reserve team in Scotland while your strongest team is competing in Europe: 3. Once they have been knocked out of Europe they play their strongest team again and comfortably run away with the league but stress how competitive it was!

Best thing I've read yet is:

In an effort to force through the change, they tabled to change the vote structure from 11-1 to 9-3 which would make Ross County & St. Mirren unable to stop the change. To do this, they used the 11-1 structure to vote, which was defeated, most likely by Ross County & St. Mirren

:roflmao::roflmao2::roflmao3:

Seriously. These guys run our game. HAHAHAHA

Would it have taken us longer to reach the top table?

At first glance, no, but it would take away the momentum of interest in our journey and lead to lower crowds, less interest in our games and therefore less income as well as news exposure for us.
