Oh the times they are a changin.... We need a manager who can develop talent into "international class" players. Thats some youngsters, some average joes that can be taken up a level and the odd gem that we scout from overseas for peanuts...

So we spend your 20 million plus to try and catch celtic. Where is the revenue coming from to fund this or are you advocating we forget the recent past and spend money we don't have in the hope we get a champions league windfall?

Thats probably the bare minimum to catch celtc.

It may well be mate but let's be realistic. Where are we going to get money like that from? The demand will be we win the SPL title asap but this board will not throw money at Ally or whoever is in charge to beat Celtic. I have a horrible feeling they will be happy playing 2nd fiddle.

Another thing, it's one thing actually having that money but it's a whole different ball game having someone who is able to use it wisely. Allys hit and miss ratio in the transfer market so far does not fill me with confidence, certainly not enough to throw millions at him.

You do have a high regard for that current rabble from beyond the Clyde and don't expect them to be continually as mediocre as they present themselves now, it seems. The current problem of the Scottish top tier is that the clubs who could challenge that rabble are inconsistent and lack spirit. It is a travesty that there is no-one who wants to invest into the current set-up at e.g. ICT and give them that little bit more backbone and spark to sustain a good season up there, the foundations are already in place.

Zappa, who is this "top class U18 talent" that we werent signing ?

Any such player would ply his trade somewhere else because he would be getting a better salary elsewhere. We live in an instant gratification world so these kids wouldnt bide their time and grow with the club - just ask Ness or McCabe.

They havent lost an spl game all season and were close to a records point total last year. I dont want to talk them up but lets just say we are a long long way off them just now.

We need huge investment in the playing squad. We probably at most have 4 or 5 players of the required quality.

Both of them left under such different circumstances to an other player at any other club. A better example may have been Danny Wilson though not every kid thinks like he does or gets advice like he does either.
