Most likely the guy was either found to be surplus to requirement or wasn't doing his job well enough. It is common place for sacked employees to be escorted immediately off the premises to avoid any "mischief". The would be especially the case if he had access to any potentially sensitive data ie. financials or personal data. Then again, he's probably just the type of chap Green, Ahmad & Stockbridge would have wanted to stick around while they filled their boots.
