He was our best player by a mile but our standards will/should be a lot higher next season. He's far too slow and not technically gifted enough to make up for it. I want to see fast, skillful players in the final third. Ones who have the potential to be sold for large sums of money. Vuckic is never going to be worth more than £1-2m.

This is EXACTLY how I see it. Easily our best attack-minded player in the 2nd half. His lack of pace would worry me. He IS direct which is nice to have but the lack of pace would allow opponents to recover and get back quickly. Would be interesting how he would work alongside a better standard of player though.

I was so torn on the poll that I simply didn't vote.

One trick pony? Heck, Matt LeTissier was too and I'd love to get Vuckic's left foot for next season or Matt's all those years back!

Le Tissier was no one trick pony - that is revisionism.

I voted "aye", but only if the deal was structured in such a way as to incentivise his performance and wasn't for more than one year, with an option of another.

Yes that would leave us open to him having a good season, making a few quid and then moving on, but I agree with the comments about his fitness and pace...
