Celtic get free entry to the Champions League qualification stage without challenge year on year and this guy says 'Aye that'll be right'! RANGERS new boy Nathan Oduwa has been accused of “taking the p***” and warned he’ll be crocked if he tries it again. The on loan Spurs winger became an instant favourite with Rangers fans with a dazzling cameo in their 5-1 rout at Alloa Athletic. But Wasps defender Colin Hamilton reckons supersub Oduwu took it too far with an outrageous attempt at a two-footed rainbow flick near the end that left the full-back seething at his attempt to showboat. Rangers were in cruise control, 4-1 up at half-time with goals from James Tavernier, Martyn Waghorn, Kenny Miller and Jason Holt before Miller took his tally to the season for five with another near the end. Rangers boss Mark Warburton says he will speak with Oduwu, but is adamant his players would never show disrespect for the opposition as rampant Rangers took their tally to 17 goals in their first four games of the campaign. However, Alloa boss Danny Lennon says Oduwa is a talent who should be encouraged to light up Scottish football with his skill after admitting it was men against boys in Clackmannanshire. Hamilton said: “He’s come up here and he’s trying to show off, trying to make a name for himself. What can you do? I didn’t even get the chance to speak to him after the game as he just walked off. “However, I’m sure if he tries that against other centre backs and left backs in the league they won’t let him away with it the same way. “I felt as if he was trying to take the p***. What was there, a minute to go? Was there really any need for it? “I can’t tell any player how to play, it’s his decision. There were so many Rangers fans behind that goal and he was trying to make a name with them by trying a wee trick when his side were 5-1 up. “I was disappointed not only with that, but with the game as well. We killed ourselves in the first half, although they were very good. “Let’s be honest, they are a completely different beast to how they were last year. I played them the year before when I was at Brechin and the difference in Rangers then and now is night and day. They’re a very, very good side.” Warburton, who has officially named Lee Wallace captain of the club, insists talented players must be nurtured and encouraged, but is planning a word with Oduwa to remind him between wing trickery and showboating. Warburton said: “There’s no lack of respect intended by any of the players, absolutely not. We’ll have a quite word about that. He’s a respectful young guy and he was just enjoying his football. I’ve no doubt he’ll make a right impression this season – and for all the right reasons. “He’s come up here to play. It’s frustrating when you are a young player at a big club, not getting into the first team. You want competitive football, which is a big step up from playing Under-21 games. “Down south you can be playing Man United, Liverpool, whoever, but it’s still not the same as playing football for three points on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. He was just enjoying his football.” Asked if he was upset at Oduwa’s attempted trick, Lennon added: “He just wants to show the quality that he has in front of his new fans so no, not at all. “He certainly looks a talent. He will be a breath of fresh air for Scottish football and you want that creativity in it.” Man of the match Tavernier, who scored his third goal of the season and set up two others, also defended his new team-mate. He said: “Nathan is a good lad. He came into training on Saturday for the first time and he showed he has tricks. The fans loved them and hopefully he will be rewarded with goals and assists. “If he feels confident doing the trick and pulls it off then I am not going to complain. I was calling him Jay-Jay Okacha.
