Disciplinary Outcomes | Scottish Cup Final

Recommended Posts

So what the judicial panel is saying that clubs can not be held accountable for the behaviour of their fans , now if I was chairman of any Scottish club that has received a fine for any fan trouble I would be looking at a refund and a full apology from the SFA .

The game is broken in Scotland, it won't ever be repaired under the current SFA board, how can the club and our support go about changing the regime that run football here?

I'm all for another protest, i was on the last one to Hampden with the support, but we need the club involved in an official capacity too.

The current status quo cannot be allowed to continue, it's a green light that our fans and players are fair game to be attacked with impunity.

Said "with strict liability, clubs can't be held responsible for the actions of their fans". Ok then, so it's fill your boots time as fans, including Rangers fans, can do whatever they want without fear of the club being punished. Curiosly this is reported on a CL night!. Hoping it would fall under the radar me thinks!!

Remember though you as an individual can be arrested if you break the law.

Our fellow member clubs of the SFA have shown us how to break the spirit and resistance of the SFA.

In the C1888c case a few years ago, when Neil Lennon was appealing his six game suspension, and in this Hibs case all that is required is to threaten the SFA with legal action.

In the former case they said that the money which would be used to defend the action would be better used for the development of the game here in Scotland, and in the latter case it is supposedly down to the lack of 'strict liability' in the rules; which was brutally pointed out to the SFA by Rod McKenzie.

The fact that UEFA supposedly looks unfavourably upon a club taking legal action against its own Football Association would appear to hold little weight, since both of these clubs have threatened their FA with legal action and neither of them raised a flag at UEFA.

Over to you Rangers, is it worthwhile letting this mess lie where it is or do you think the wellbeing of your players, staff and support are worth upholding?

When we took the sfa to court they brought fifa in to threaten our existence. Even when we won they carried on regardless with a punishment.

IMHO ... while they can't hold the club at fault for its invading and rampaging fans, they can make sure that those people are being punished.

And you can do this rather simple: the next *you name it* number of cup home games, there will be no home crowd spectators at Easter Road. That will punish them and let them know that their actions hurt their club.

But that's punishing the club. The sfa are under no obligation to invite hibs to compete in the Scottish cup.

There's your punishment 10 years with no invite.

The sfa have after the hibs fans behaviour at last seasons Scottish cup final decided not to invite them to take part this year.

Simple

Not for the first time but I'm really angry about this. Angry, frustrated and to be honest a bit despondent about the situation we find ourselves in.

Fully behind any protest or action by the fans but the club HAS to make a stand here. They are fighting the entire football establishment in Scotland now, this much is clear.
