Three players up the spine, quality centre half, dominating midfielder and a goal scorer. Souness bought Woods, Butcher, Wilkins and Colin West, and put McCoist on a new contract immediately. A spine is fundamental. Three good signings in the next two windows........ I know what you're saying, and 2 CH's would be awesome but a Gough or Butcher type would add massive confidence to Kiernan and we can't afford a whole new defence.
