Setting down a marker?

As has been said before the game, if the Yahoos are on their game, we are in for a long afternoon. Sadly enough, they are well up. We hardly strung 4 passes together so far and if we did, it was hopelessly slow and lacking creativity. All that was to be expected though. We are chasing shadows, lack positional sense and are not at the races at all. Any hope comes from the odd long ball so their defence have decisions to make.

Now, can anyone tell my why on Earth did Collum whistle for HT right in the middle of our attack within their area?

Setting down a marker??? he could have been of the pitch a few minutes later. Taking someone out on (though not hurting them at all) the touchline near the half way line - is setting down a marker that you are a numpty

Garner is completely ineffective, we're playing with 10 men.

Garner is not my favourite but we are playing about 40 yards away from him it is no wonder he is ineffective.

No he wasnt-----would it have made any difference,i dont think so.

No, me neither - but I was wondering if the Sky comms made a big deal out of it as they certainly would have had the show been on the other foot.

... or tell him: "don't fuck me around, I'm still here!"?

Is he playing? I haven't noticed him at all.

That's because he is a central striker. I don't want to see our strikers - like Waghorn does - go back halfway into our half and run about doing next to nothing ... and posts missing when we have the ball. Our problem is that every ball from the back hardly reaches the halfway line, where Garner waits.

I just saw a replay of the goal and the poor effort of Halliday who just watched Mcgregor run away from him. Andy should be one of the first to leave

He watches him run in, then puts his hand up to complain when he scores!? What's he doing?
