Smoke Bombs thrown onto fans

It is getting worse. The devices are going to get bigger and bigger until someone is killed. And the police and our club will be culpable as no one is calling out these odious idiots for what they are doing.

I’m sure Club1872 will have discussed this with the club by now and we can expect their urgent statement imminently. That’s what they’re for, right?

Club1872's job isn't to ensure safety of people inside Ibrox Stadium.  That's the job of the Police, the stewards and the Scottish government (stop laughing at the back).

A firecracker is unlikely to kill anyone, although it could cause hearing damage.

The simplest solution is to give the scum less seats, by having a larger space between the two sets of fans.  I'll say it again, charge them more for their tickets to cover any lost revenue and if they moan, tell them to blame their pals who flung firecrackers.

And just to clarify, firecrackers are the ones that sound like a gunshot, smoke bombs are the ones that let off loads of (usually coloured) smoke and flares are the things they set off on boats lost at sea.

Given the police have said they cannot search celtic fans for these firecrackers responsibility lies with the club to do something to protect our fans. The club cannot abdicate responsibility as they have control over reducing the threat by reducing the allocation. Saying it’s up to the police and stewards isn’t good enough. Ultimately the club needs to act  Just because these things might not kill someone (although I suppose could cause a heart attack) does not mean it is acceptable to lob them into the crowd.

I did make a valid suggestion about what the club could do.  They won't though.

I still can't get my head around Bears who want to go to that cesspit, The Piggery.  That's part of the problem because the club won't act as it will lessen our presence at the Theatre of Shame.

Silly me, I thought Club1872 might have a role in representing supporter concerns to the club, perhaps even making health and safety a priority. I should have realised it's really a share trader.

Members are perfectly entitled to contact Club1872 with any concerns they have, Bill.

Let's blame a Rangers supporters group, who seem to want the Tims to get a lesser allocation, for the Tims throwing firecrackers at Ibrox.  Count me out.
